That's a good point, even if you adjust for inflation the games cost more

Is it because of the fact many games chase photorealism? I'm sure that plays a part but otherwise I'm not 100% on where all the costs accumulate

i guess remake was a lot of iteration before ending on the final form, rebirth was 200h+ more content with higher quality and scale

ffxvi i understand the lower price because it's way more straight to the point, you have the core gameplay, the linear path, nothing more than necessary for what they wanted to tell

but yeah you can't compare a mainline ff + the ff7 remakes with dd2 and mh rise, if it was like the RE series it would make more sense, even from another genre
