I personally think the sales are fine. I am talking more about the perspective of a CFO or in general a company. They see these games like Elden Ring or GTA making millions of sales in a month and they see how much money they miss out on

it's why you see companies like SE also not being happy with their sales. they compare themselves to the extreme cases

which is super unhealthy for a creative industry imo

The good thing is we have now games like E33 and Silksong which were both low and mid budget and I hope it changes the mindset into "hey why should we make high fidelity and expensive AAA games when we can also make something between AA and AAA that sells as well as our AAA games"

They come very close with the Dragon Quest 7 Remake regarding this. The game looks awesome

The demo got releases yesterday. The game is incredible. And it runs in solid 60 fps. One of their best games regarding performance so far

I can't wait to try it when I get home, I love the art style for it with the doll-like models

They are also gonna remake all tactics games now. Tactics sold within 3 months what they expected the game to sell in a year

I am so happy for matsuno and the team

this is also one of the first modern ui's in an SE game that isn't shit imo
