Hero characters in these games also get a buff of their own

it's only a stupid idea if they don't explain things enough. but the previous mainline DQ game randomly introduced a time travel tower with no explanation to change the outcome of the story so it's fair to assume that it's gonna be stupid

Overexplaining things doesn't make anything better either

I don't see why there needs to be a reason why a guy who struggles to sleep needs some giant buff to make it "believable"

it's like doing DQ8 without explaining how the curse of Rhapthorne works

they absolutely need to explain it

it's literally the main gimmick of the plot

I haven't played 8 so I don't know the context to that

But an explanation still isn't needed here. Lacking sleep doesn't make you useless, and there is no indication on how much of an issue this is for Hero here.

actually they wrote a proper ending for DQ11 and then replaced it with a worse one just because the main character didn't like the outcome of it
