From my understanding, it is the first finished part of BE

Like if we use FF14 as an example, it covers the base game

And if there is a sequel or expansion, the next will be Heavensward (and the equivalent of BE)

a mainline ff with this combat system would genuinely kill me

I super agree-- realistically this was in the works probably for like what, uhhh 2-3 maybe, maybe 4 years?

I think we're all subconsciously thinking Missing-Link but perhaps this could signal a shift in their gaming priorities.

Obviously they'll always make phone games but perhaps this will help Square understand that its not just the pixel art it isnt just the turn based- its the fact that its a game on console/PC/not the damn phone lmao

If Resonance is a success it will also revolutionize the gacha industry

because companies like mihoyo or kuro will see that a non-liveservice version of their gacha can make money

the premise of CotC was summoning party members, which eventually of course included limited banner runs of the og characters and crossovers. they kept that system in place in 0 and you have 1 main character that can get a ton of party members to suit your playstyle essentially

i still haven't actually played 0 vs CotC so i don't know if they kept the crossover stuff or the OT1 and 2 cast
