Hah

you have 8 in your party at once now

it's a completely different battle system

that i personally enjoy a lot more

Its on a deal so guess I can get it, at least have something to play in the meantime

i still need to finish 2 before i even think about getting 0 but I'm so so excited to play 0 as a full console RPG instead of a gacha

ahhhh

so that's why they tested it in OT2

tested what

and let me guess they share turns with each other?

CotC was already out before 2

ah so CotC stuff got put into 2

interesting I didn't know that

OT2 had a section where you could play with all 8 party members at the same time

CotC is 8 in a party, you pair them up and they can freely swap during their turn

yeah that's how it worked in OT2 too

ah i havent gotten that far but yeah its probably a reference to CotC before 0 was announced

absolute cinema

Oh wow you make your own character in 0

doesnt look the exact same as CotC's system. you legit pair them up in slot 1-4 so they can only swap between each other in that slot

yeah its very different from the other octopaths in that they have a big single connected story with just the MC moving you through that story instead of 8 smaller stories that converge

In OT2 it's that you have 4 pairs of characters. And you can swap between the characters of each pair

so 2 characters share a turn together

okay maybe it is the same then, the UI just isn't really explaining it well to me lol
