It was sort of the whole reason they took some years to do their restructuring

I'm actually pretty forgiving for Square's phone games, unlike that Otti guy, idk if you've ever heard of him, I didn't want Missing-Link to die 😔😔😔

But there's unfortunately correlation to Square sinking a bunch of money into the shit just to pull the plug early

Whether we see it actually improve but they talked a lot about wanting to improve on their quality over quantity back then which feels weird because that was such a long time ago now but yet still recent

I forget the exact number but they also mentioned shutting down like something amount of dollars of projects at the time as well

Yeah that new CEO seemed to give the company a shot in the arm in a lot of regards like that

I can imagine it was a lot of stuff like The quiet Man type games and other miscellaneous.
Probably a nine remake also since we never heard of it after that

I mean officially we've never heard of it at all but there was that pretty credible leak and apparently there was an actual pre-order DLC listing data on epic store at one point

I am all for it if it was a complete game butknowing Square's history it wouldn't be

So yes I am very happy its dead

I mean clearly they as well saw that it wasn't going to go well

Wasting years on a damn mobile game you clearly know has important story and still going to drip feed it to your fans

I'm just glad they had the foresight that everybody knew was coming

I would love a plot twist where actually Ot was the most upset about ML dying and the election is cope

Ot went to Square HQ and personally deleted the game 😔

10 years ago I would have been upset

From what i understand they knew uhhhhh quite a while before they actually announced its cancelation too lol

I'm sure the stuff like this is all figured out and decided handled well before we ever hear any official news

The leading rumor is the team knew close to a calander year to the announcement

It's theming and aesthetic overall story though and treating me insanely well.
But it just had to be a phone gacha game
