But the tech and intent exists

Like the patent filed in 2002 I think by like a CIA shell corp or whatever about manipulating folks emotions through TV screens with electromagnetic waves--- the patent is proof the ability exists

Sure but it's just a patent. It's an idea someone officially owns, and that's where it ends. People always makes such a big deal of these patents and freak out and then just...nothing happens.

Like people freaking out about the touch screen dual sense controller before the PS5 was coming out

I don't remember which company this was but someone made a patent to say a brand name out loud to stop the ad

Like yeah these all suck but it's just a patent, it's not something announced to happen
