Mario Odyssey is truly a game that feels like it’s made to be speedrunned

Especially with the bosses

Like a lot of bosses just have a “firetruck you, you’re not allowed to hit me” phase where you SHOULD be able to do damage but the game arbitrarily decides you can’t. Zelda bosses are infamous for this.

Their sound effects would be fine

It’s the VFX department that’s utter hell

Well, here's my gamer advice

There are better games than Zelda lol

That is one spicy take but you’re not wrong

I mean… there’s nothing wrong with this boss fight philosophy tho imo

Especially in Zelda

Zelda is meant to be puzzel-y and figure it out

This bleeds into their bosses being a puzzle

I would be fine with that if the boss puzzles weren’t painfully obvious

Such as Kingdom Hearts

Keep in mind too, adults can play them, but, Zelda games are intended for younger gamers.

I made it through KH1 just fine as a kid. No excuse.

Zelda games' charm and legacy come from their accessibility.

There's RPG mechanics and exploration but it's not crazy like Dragon Quest, or Final Fantasy. No crazy equipment to manage or math to do. Plus easy controls

Part of why they’re “easy” is cause you played Zelda before
