I think you're playing games not made for you

sure some modern games really like style over gameplay, but there's also games that have gamplay over style or have a perfect balance between the two (for me)

I think the problem is that games made for me don't exist. And why don't they exist? Because people prefer other games, thus that's what gets made.

take Insominiac's Spider-Man
it has a great style and amazing loking moves whilst also feeling satisfying to play and challenging at times

also open ended: do you just go in and attack or will you be more sneaky and do stealth take downs

great gameplay and style

there's games being made for everyone

you want challenge: games like Darksouls
you want story: play the Last of Us
you want a fun platformer: play A Hat in Time

there's games out there for everyone to enjoy

and just cause you don't like the games being made nowadays, doesn't make them bad
