My personal theory regarding Zack is that all the things that happen to him are happening inside of Cloud's conciousness

It's one thing to lose yourself, it's another to take a life while doing it

My theory is that Jenova Cloud is a piece in Cloud that tries to corrupt him and Zack is basically an antibody to protect cloud's mind
