I got so done with AC when I heard that they killed off the main antagonist that transcends the entire timeline in a comic

is whittaker the name of the actress

HEY BE NICE

Jodie Whittaker yeah

Peter Capaldi was the previous Doctor

don’t be Iasagna

the onIy Iine I know

fair

weII so Iong as it stays consistentIy good

that was the problem, the director for Whittaker era was not... like at all LMAO

it felt like fanfic wiki pages

oh Iord no

but apparently the old director is coming back for the 60th anniversary and i think in talks to stay on after too?

😳

i have very little recollection of anything in this era bc i binged it but also because there was just nothing memorable about any of the adventures

ye

and one new story in particular was like the most out of pocket to me and i hated it but it also is going to have long lasting impact on the characterization of the Doctor and the show

12 is Capaldi, Whittaker is 13. her acting was fantastic but held back tremendously by the spotty writing

like i said it felt like fanfic but it also had WAYYY too much nostalgia baiting. probably bc the director had no clue how to write an original story tbh LMFAO

i just watched the teaser for the 60th anniversary special and I'm hopeful for that and beyond

debatable if anything past the original should've come into existence, but at least they seem to be coming around now

would that be

the timeless child?

10000%

the worst way to change the history of the ENTIRE show

like i get that things change all the time in this show and it's never really consistent but this particular change is HUGE and changes everything, not just bits and pieces

Well depending who ask Dr. Who has been trash for 10, 5, or 20 years so firetruck it lol ball out BBC do shit.

I also don't have a huge personal investment in the Dr. So, I'm less protective of it

it was a big part of my teen years, but I haven't been heavily invested in years. hence why i had to binge to catch up just now. its one of those things where i finish just to finish at this point and not because i super enjoy it anymore

Supernatural went to shit YEARS before it ended but i caught up before the final season just to see how they'd end it

Riverdale was actually the wildest ride i ever went on

and it was only because i literally could not believe one of the headlines on twitter about one of the seasons

so i had to catch up to see

i'm sorry you had to go through that

I'd like to binge CWverse but it's so so big. i only finished flash and arrow, the rest are just meh for me at this point

i wouldn't have cared about it so much if it had just been a new ip instead of slapping the archie comics skin onto it

I love watching people rip into that show lol

That and, too a lesser extent, Sherlock, and Merlin

Never seen them but I know everything about them.

Now the DC CW stuff, that was (mostly) fire.

so you enjoyed gotham knights, eh?
