Playing through FF7 remake again and something about potions bug me in this

Potions that give you an actual amount of health sucks

And this goes for a lot of game

Because then in the late game normal potions just suck ass

There was a demo I tried for a game a few months back that I can't for the life of me remember which one it was, but instead of giving a certain number of health, it gives you a percentage based on your health

And I find that so much more useful

At leasts that way I can use it in the endgame and it's not just a waste

Should probably replay that at some point before Rebirth, been a hot minute.

that's because they want you to use this materia but having to level and equip materia just to get decent potions absolutely sucks

Oh I know

But it's not just for this game, it goes for a lot of games

This is just the game where I realized about it

That materia also gets extremely useless in hard m ode

That materia also gets extremely useless in hard mode

yep

you guys wanna see something disgusting

💀

holy shit this is insane

48% of those who spent money on Genshin made over 16 transactions.
Averaging 22 days between transactions
100% are other purchases (meaning not Battle passes)

It doesn't matter how many of them flop, they just need one that works

Not just sony, lots of other companies too

Yeah it's like every game ever lol

I don't even use them anymore unless the Magic system is particularly unforgiving.

I finally found out what game I was thinking

It was Star Ocean 2 remake

The foods there give you percentage based off your health and that's so much better

Did you say Genshin Impact?

They said they're gonna scale back but I don't know.

well yes cause as you continue to grow the less it starts to do that lets say 10% starts to be nothing at higher or max levels but thats why there are abilitys and equipment that help it do more

Just make Horizon and God of War sequels forever and you'll be fine lol; Aloy and Kratos can carry.

GENSHIN IMPACT

WHOOOOOOOAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aloy cant carry shit lol

as a character she is terrible

Sure early game 10% would suck as you have what, 300HP? But when you get to 9000HP that's already 900 just for that 10%.

At least then it scales with you, and is still useful as the game goes further in

A potion giving you 300 HP is useful for early game, but only there

then high potions shouldnt exist

They should still exist, it just gives higher percentage

thats why theres stuff to help with lower potions

Yeah I actually liked how FF16 let you upgrade regular potions to be 28 percent and Hi's like... 50 some?

in kh I use the item increase and then only use potions

Wish other games did that

The only times I use potions in KH is when it's a superboss; they're cheap and 2hp might as well be a full health bar 😂
