gaming is stressful for me. everytime I do raids in FFXIV I have to gaslight my friends into thinking that we are actually good at the game and can clear everything

You know why gaming is never reaching its full potential? Gamers hold it back; people either take it so seriously they said and do bigoted terrible things to people, or they're so casual about it, they don't care as the medium becomes more terrible with the slow death of physical media and rising costs.

You have people that want every game to be like it was in SNES or Dark Souls or you have people who only want it to be AAA games or people who just want it for Madden and COD. It's too divided.

Last year we had record high layoffs from so many studios and it's still going

layoffs won't stop until 2025

It's so unfortunate that it's still going...

It's not easy to take the industry seriously either when the biggest awards show there is that's supposed to be celebrating gaming just pushed all the developers under the rugs a month ago
