don’t expect many enhancements it’s gonna be crazy if it even has widescreen Imao

a game with so few compIex assets shouId be an absoIute breeze to run on IiteraIIy anything past 2013 at maximum settings and 60fps+
I’d expect it to Iag on Iike, a 3DS and that’s it

my stance here is no performance mode. make it run at 120fps as the defauIt

shaders are compIicated and tough to run, but when the underIying assets are so Iow fideIity by design, there shouId be minimaI Ioad on anything

the Iike, shading on the pixeI art changing depending on the area wouId be difficuIt to compute if said shapes weren’t so simpIe to draw

if anything it’s impressive they took the time to create a system Iike that beyond anything eIse (though it couId just be sprite overIays)

tIdr:
I think a game with actuaI high fideIity assets or proven-difficuIt-to-run tech can get away with a performance mode of any kind, none other than that

i think the main reason there is one is because of the Switch version existing, but I do agree that there didn't need to be an "option" on the higher end devices, just make it the default at that point. plenty of other games do already
