I think rebirth had some fun customization, but no weapon skins was kinda sad

unfortunately they completely ruined the weapon system in Rebirth and weapons are no longer viable

you just go for stats most of the time

in remake every weapon was viable

I mean it's still there it's just automatic

in rebirth they ruined it

It changed with the magenta system or whatever it was called

But weapons did still level up and was still viable at the end game

yeah, I used everyones base weapon at the end and it felt fine to me

I do prefer remakes weapon system more. I want more control of what I level up, which is always materias

Hopefully part 3 is a mix of the two

yes but it unfortunately lacks the flexibility of the sphere grid

in X you can do some crazy shit with teleport spheres

that opens up a lot of customization and builds

but only with the expert sphere grid
