PC gamers are the cheapest trust me, but it does effect what they are willing to get, either they watch it on YT/twitch or have it on the day

FFXIV is nowadays their only saving grace

XIV is easily bigger than FF7

Your comparing a western game that has more appeal to the west and a JP game series that has not only had ups and downs but is still confused to western gamers that think they need to play 15 other games to play the latest one

I think it's really dangerous to still try to keep up the illusion that FF is big, because SE overestimates the popularity. Recently I changed my pov a lot regarding the franchise and think they absolutely should scale down to lower budget games

they can't create these high fidelity games if they only sell 3-4 million

FF still has a name....... just mostly with FF7 🤣

Unfortunately that game is still the face of the series

And they made it worse by bring it back as a remake

Also it is thee only FF in the WHOLE SERIES to get so many side games, books, mobile games, etc.
