I mean people have their preferences but that's like watching a show and reading the subtitles and fast-forwarding because you already read what happened at least that's how I see it

The character's voice is a big part of their character to me which is why after getting used to an English sub I can't just go to a Japanese those are not the characters I know

In Japanese i don't listen to their whole lines cuz I can't understand it

the pc/ps4 ports actually got the VAs back to dub more lines
