most movie goers dont know about the comics

I do think there needs to be some semblance of the characterization still in place when adapting

Like remember when New 52 came out and people bitched that Nightwing's costume was red?

Comic Book fans never want deviation but always want innovation

Even if they bitched about the suit, the characterization was somewhat still in place

was momoa aquaman not accurate at all ?

Yet also many of these characrers are almost 100 years old- that's why I like it when they try new things - I mean they still have to be GOOD we shouldn't just like things that are different just cause they're different but

The overrall narrative of being from two places it got right I felt like

But I do think his own characterization wasn't a good one

Well since Geoff Johns was producing the Verse at the time he was actually similar to the New 52 version of him lol

Hell his run on Aquaman was the best one in a long time

ha yeah there is that too, multiple version of same character even in comics

I felt I saw some similarities between the movie and his comic run anyway

It got some parts in, but the political side just gets shoved aside for the adventure aspect

Which again, I did enjoy

Really fun movie to watch

Know what's funny despite me saying all this, and I mean it, I ironically feel the opposite about Superman- just keep him simple lol

But I wanted more of his comics too

Then again, James Wan got his octo buddy in the movie so it's all good with me

Good point - thats not even really much of a plot point at all in the movie- Ocean Master just does whatever he wants to do lol

I wish we would have gotten that Deep horror movie tho..

We are gonna get that with Batman too with movies. Pattinson version and a DCU version.
