WTF. OK. Whatever. Real talk though: Just keep in mind you went on a tangent about victims and victimology and psychology to a female who was an abuse victim once upon a time and has studied psychology extensively while attending college. All because I don't have the same mentality about victims that you do/that's accepted as the current status quo.

I feel like if you had studied victimology and psychology, you would know the dangers of speaking out against an abuser, I don't think you can just shrug off accusations against a celebrity because "oh people do it just for financial gain", which that is something that we have seen occur before, in this case that brought this up, I do believe there has been hard evidence on this case of abuse occurring. There's a lot of factors that go into it, like the fear of abuse getting worse when reporting due to not being able to have resources needed to get out of those situations. I agree that it would be best if people reported instances of this earlier, but there's more nuance to it than that

And youre currently talking to someone who's mom and dad were in abusive relationships, we can go deep on this shit bro

Even if I didnt come from that, I've spent time talking to and knowing people who've been through those situations instead of just reading about it from some textbooks in a classroom- if you want to blame yourself for something that wasnt your fault, thats your decision, but dont force that shitnon other people like you know better or youre the de facto voice

Empathy is not a weakness, and stoicism is not a cure for pain. You'd do well to remember that

I don't think she lacks empathy, she mentioned being empathetic towards victims in the post that didn't show up for us on discord

Alright, ill eat my words on that, apologies

The rest though i stand by.

The fact of the matter is you don't get to tell others how they should feel about things. Just because my opinion doesn't match the status quo or your own doesn't mean you should be allowed to go on a tangent on why my opinion is "wrong" and especially to get praised for it after the fact.

You also in your responses have doubled down acting like I'm not educated about the subject matter (calling out studying it even though you originally argued that I was uneducated on the subject matter and that was according to you the reason why my opinion doesn't match yours/that of the accepted status quo).

So which is it? Am I uneducated because I've both studied the subject matter and lived parts of it as a former victim of abuse, or am I educated and you made an assumption that I mustn't be because of how my opinion on the subject matter doesn't match your own?

PS: You also treated me bringing up that I was an abuse victim once upon a time like I said it for the sake of keeping some kind of score (What even was "We can go deep on this shit bro" supposed to mean in your tangent? I merely divulged that fact about myself for context, because I figured it would help you realize that just because you've been a victim it doesn't mean you're instantly going to think victims should be treated with kids gloves by the public and the law, but instead you came back with some serious venom).

@Muki I watched Donald playing Bananza until 3:30 am. It's peak

I am genuinely impressed

See you keep going on about "status quo, status quo" dude this discussion isnt about that, and it shouldn't be- this is the wrong time and subject to try and be a contrarian lol

Oh that's awesome! Ghost in the Shell is a great slam dunk but I'm unfamiliar with the other two animes, but I'm really curious to see what else gets added in the future

there's actually 4 anime in total there

i loved paprika, would definitely recommend

Indeed it is

I played straight 10 hours yesterday

WHY WATERSHIP DOWN

Not sure if this means "it's happening but with another writer" or "it's not happening at all" 🤔
