I think its fine to keep most missions intact, but in this case it should be reworked to bring more life into it.

the only thing I can think of is making it shorter in terms of changes the whole mission is just Chief and Spark getting a thing lol

oh 100% the mission severely drags just because it can, you can cut it in half and it'd be better off

I think they said they got the principal cast members to come back for the remake. So Jen Taylor and Steve Downes are back as Cortana and Master Chief.
