also you guys keep in mind that I try to see it from multiple povs. I think everyone that uses AI generated stuff in game dev is full of shit but I can see why game devs become much more comfortable using it.

now IF they had said "e33 uses AI but its only x y and z," and gamers were like "meh ok not a big deal-- its something small," then sure, that's one thing. But this is devs [i]not[/i] telling us about ai inclusion and then pretending like "no no you did like this actually, remember? You bought the product and everything."

Its capitalistic "having your cake and eating it too."

You save time money and employment on using ai, and your game sweeps the awards

But a lot of folks that go for bat for AI seem like bad faith actors to me.

it's just I see people enjoying E33 before ppl pointing out that it has AI stuff in it and it makes me wonder if people who use AI gen for smaller stuff are actually right because players didn't notice and it didn't hurt their enjoyment with the game

you would assume that someone that is really bothered by the use of AI would immediately notice it

my favorite AI users are the ones on reddit that use chatgpt to win an argument btw

how do you notice them? because they pronounce everything correctly and use "-" in their sentences

Cause thats the divide thats currently present.

I think there should be an AI flag for games but even then... most people on Steam don't fucking read the product description
