honestly he isn't entirely wrong. Metaphor had pathetic sales and P5 is basically the only game that carries them

I assume he means with wider audience "let's make our games more like p5"

but it depends on how they do it. Metaphor was just too much like P5. Same for P3R

both games suffered from it

Metaphor made me wish that I wouldn't had played P5 before it. Atlus stories have become so formulaic that you can predict when major plot beats happen

and they are unfortunately also very similar

It sold 2 million after half a year, its doing well for its niche. I really don't get this reasoning.

All this is just them wanting more money, nothing more

I personally think the sales are fine. I am talking more about the perspective of a CFO or in general a company. They see these games like Elden Ring or GTA making millions of sales in a month and they see how much money they miss out on

it's why you see companies like SE also not being happy with their sales. they compare themselves to the extreme cases

which is super unhealthy for a creative industry imo
