If we use something more cinematic game as an example like Last of Us. Its a very story driven game, but even on normal mode you still need to play the game to continue. Finding resources, being able to kill the enemies and move past it.

Its a reason why the tv show hasn't worked out despite still being storydriven, the gameplay elements still added to the story.

Point is, if even a game like last of us can get people to actively play the game, so can this game and its just not a good way to do this.

Hamaguchi focused too much on the feedback is the problem I think

I think its an overcorrection from Rebirth

Rather than making the content "good" and not annoying through Chadley, the solution was then instead to just make an option to skip it

Which is why they also have a skip mini game button or something like that now

Just make the correct BALANCE without having to SKIP ANYTHING
