Should Sora have mastered the Power of Waking a different way?

Posted

Because I think he should have found it to purify Baymax’s chip or save Flynn’s life, because some say that Ventus revealing that he had it inside all along was cliched.

Hmm...I'm not sure Sora would be able to use it in those situations. The Power of Waking's main purpose is to awaken a sleeping heart, isn't it? And even if he did use it like that, he probably would disappear and go sailing into unreality.

That's not how it works. Yen Sid in Dream Drop Distance said that the Power of Waking is the ability free or awaken someone's heart from it's sleep. Baymax and Flynn Rider were not sleeping. They were dead. I don't remember how Dark Riku brought back the original Baymax, but I know that Flynn Rider was dead until Rapunzel's tear and her love brought back Flynn to life. Anyway, the Power of Waking is just to free a sleeping heart. Not resurrecting or restoring a heart from the dead which Sora did in Kingdom Hearts 3.

baymax wasnt dead. his heart was moved into a different body, dark baymax was basically a nobody

also sora did have the power within him all along that was the point. he gain the power during DDD but lost how to use it at the end.
