i assume quad wasn't always [spoiler]composed of just scalan descended people cos that would not explain the japanese signs in the city aswell cos scalans in verse do not use japanese script cos they are not japanese[/spoiler]

but that may be something i meed to let slide cos many other JRPGs have the same thing even though its logically impossible in-verse cos they are set in fantasy or alien worlds
