When Rising started getting it's meeting popularity, MG fans got annoyed cause people were only playing or talking about Rising even if they never played it

I call it the "Persona 5 Effect."

Plus for a lot of us, while MGS has its camp and silly moments, it took itself seriously, that's the charm.

Rising, since it was written by Platinum and not Kojima is much more tougne in cheek, gets the "this is so stupid I love it" kind of praise.
