KH MoM was mostly a brief recap. they only had a bit of story at the end

none

^

if they wanted to do a story that is just taking place during other games and isn't actually advancing stuff. They wouldnt call it KH4

like kh missing link, its going to give us insight with scala and its story line

they didnt name it kh4. if they were doing a story that takes place during MoM storyline with kairi involving sora. It would mostly be something like KH 0.2 focusing entirely on sora for a small amount of story

we would have gotten like KH 3.8 reconnect or some random name

You don't think they could tell a story set in Quadratum that advances the story? Only cause I think that's what they're gonna do

My analysis is that KH4 will start right after the events of Secret Episode which showed what happened to Sora immediately following his vanishing. Sora will show up in Quadratum in a new version of the cutscene from KH3’s secret ending. Something will render him unconscious, we’ll have our normal trek through Dive to the Heart, and he’ll wake up 7 days later. My personal theory is that we’ll play through that year between his disappearance and Riku arriving in Quad, but it’ll be filled with time skips 358 Days style. Once that year passes, we’ll get into the meat of the game.

now this I can see happening

they start out doing story taking place during MoM, and then eventually getting into the main game itself

KH4 is already set in Quadratum, and what KH stories also are involved. It will advance the story while we also learn more about it through normal gameplay

depending on what missing link shows us. It could answer a lot of quadratum information as well

The presence of the forest world in the KH4 trailer makes it pretty clear we won’t be spending the whole game in the city

I just meant for atleast the start of Soras journey

sense him running with keyblade is probably the tutorial

"You would be wise to surrender."
"Surrender? No way!"

The Encounter blasts through the speakers

"You don't know the power of the Dark side."

"You don't know the power of the Keyblade!"

I don't care how cringey I look lmao I'd be so happy dude

Luke and Sora can bond over their daddy issues

“My dad cut off my hand and killed countless people.”

“Bummer. My dad doesn’t even exist in canon.”

Luke: Oh...damn sorry dude

Sora: Eh, it's okay

“Come be a hermit on a random island with me Sora. We can drink weird colored milk and hunt with 20 foot spears”

Sora: Hey Luke? Did you ever feel like your entire fanbase hated everything you did after the second main installment?

Luke: Dame da ne~

I find it hard to believe Star Wars fans have ever liked Star Wars. I mean seriously. If you’re not enjoying the franchise, why are you still here???

They like it, but only specific parts, and they very greatly expect the rest of the franchise to adhere to those parts.

That’s like saying you like fruit salad despite only eating the pineapple

But it's how they work.

Source: am a Star Wars fan, have seen way too much of it.

There’s nothing wrong with only enjoying certain aspects of an IP. KH has people who only play it for story, or people who only play it for the combat.
