there have been few games released with only 1 game play trailer and then a reveal

mostly older nothing new gen

then some with only 2 trailers before a release

kh3 had 3?

Note that they had a gameplay trailer before a release trailer

Again you are not considering who the publisher is

Or their release schedule

I'll say this, IF the game comes out next year, that's a crazy turn around right there by itself- 4 years? That's nuts- I know KH3 got set back by shit but, games last Gen, Multi-plat or otherwise, big ones took like 5 minimum, 6 preferably. The tech is getting nuts.

tech advancements decrease time

or add more

Looking at purely the aspect of the time frame between a release trailer and release date

depending

Yes but not by that much for a triple A game

If we talking indie sure

Or maybe double A

Yeah probably a 6-month to 9-month delay depending on how long it takes to understand the new tech

Ue 4 to 5 is an easy transition but does that mean it's done tomorrow..... no

Doesn't UE5 allow to drag and drop all your UE4 stuff into it and it upscales it too?

my prediction was end of 2023 November/December, or early 2024 Jan-March

It's not that simple

nothing has been indicated to change those predictions

so they are still firm by my standards

The issue with that is FF7R2 exists, which does have a winter 2023 release window
