Who plays the Sims that's under the age of 35 😂

^Once upon a time, at least 30% of the world's population. Right now, probably around 10%.

Actually quite a number of people LOL

Shhhhhhhh

I'm shit talking 😔

It's frozen for me (though I dislike it for other reasons, too)

I think quite a good many criticisms to Frozen are valid, as your are I'm sure, but to me I think a solid number of times "it cause it's popular" is the heart of it for a lot of people lol

Like Roger Ebert said, "it is not enough to like something or dislike it, but to like/dislike it for the right reasons, and know why you do so."

(Mild paraphrase.)

the writing was just not good

literally "let it go" carried that movie

What didn't you like about it?

The writing I mean?

It's worth mentioning that the songs for a film can be as important a story telling device as the script can. Frozen has two excellent pieces for that in Let It Go and Do You Wanna Build a Snowman. One is a self actualization theme for one of the female leads, while the other beautifully conveys the strained relationship between both of the female leads.

Combined with the environmental story telling in the scene where Anna sacrifices herself and the subsequent one where she defrosts, you don't need anything else from the film to understand what it is trying to say. And the film doesn't suffer IMHO for having a script that mostly relies on mediocre to alright jokes over the course of the rest of its runtime. That stuff keeps the child half of the audience from growing bored, and even though the humor doesn't always land with the adults, it is at least writing that they can understand.

In the reverse a film with significantly more to say in its script, Pocahontas; gains very little from having such an excellent script. Because it also includes the song Colors of the Wind which covers everything the film wants to convey all by itself in a much more relatable and simple way.

Edit: One of my oldest memories of Pocahontas is reading a review for it in a magazine where I saw the words "word vomit" used in the media for the first time that I can remember. In the opinion of whoever wrote that review the script of the film was a difficult one for audience retention because the script is hard to stay connected with all the way through the film's runtime.

Colors of the wind at the very least is about teaching John than it is the audience at that point but you make a solid critique

Tbh, I'm kind of a culprit of this too. I just don't like how much that movie infected the general media when it came out. Also Let it go makes me wanna rip my ears out

But as much as I don't wanna and probably never will, I should rewatch it so I'm able to shit on it with proper evidence and critiques

I personally like Frozen 2’s story a lot more

And the songs are nice :PES_Heart: especially Show Yourself, that song makes me cry

It's a slippery slope but I must say I agree on other things- that's my opinion on Last of Us 1(which I love), and GOW 2018 (which I super love) as well as Walking Dead (when I was always meh on) and Game of Thrones (which after season 4 I was like ok I'm just here to watch this shit burn lmao)

It's slippery cause, it informs us about our decisions and tastes.

It's like Muki- so many games he thinks look cool, see's they're a soulslike, and he's like f this I'm out lol

^What did you think of The Last of Us Part II? Are you of the common opinion that it is trash or are you one of the rare ones with a positive opinion of it?

"Trash", no, but I didn't like some execution on things. I'll say this, most of the reasons people have that don't like it, specifically in a, I'll word it as a, "social" context? I don't share those.

i bounce because i get stomach pains whenever i play souls games. muki bounces for... some other reason, idk. we are not the same

we dont know if that would be the story tho

star wars has a lot of story prior to Vader, and for hercules we saw his youth + after story

for star wars I think it would most likely start us off with han solo randomly showing up

him flying around and random encounter would be the best way for KH to get introduced into the star wars universe vs just dropping us into a Vader story

I highly doubt they'd go with the Prequels- Vader is just too iconic.

Well yeah that makes sense I'm just saying of Star Wars shows up, there's no way it doesn't lead to Vader

Unless they say " f u" and go Kylo lol.

Id be down for that but less so.

vader would have to be nerfed

or ultimately not be a fight

the Inquisitors might be the focus

Vader shows up towards the end, and its a special boss fight to escape

make him a secret boss, like sephiroth and lingering will and them
