Laguna, The FFVIII hero was actually supposed to have appeared in Kingdom Heats Birth by Sleep, Nomura revealed. They'd even partially prepared a scenario where Laguna appears as the head of Mirage Arena. In the end, they decided that if they were to have a new character from FFVIII in Duodecim it would end up being Laguna, so they left him out of BbS.

 

This game may come with PSP hardware bundle. Square Enix has yet to provide a look at the special PSP system, but Nomura revealed to the magazine that it will have a Yoshitaka Amano illustration showing Chaos and Cosmos. The system will be pearl white, with the side frame being matte black.

 

More characters are on the way for the game. While there was no mention of the Jump trailer's hints at Yuna, Nomura said that the remaining character reveals will all come from the Final Fantasy games that were released on the Super Famicom/SNES and beyond.

 

The past characters aren't all that's returning for Duodecim. Nomura revealed that the original's story will also be included. Once you clear Duodecim's story, you'll be able to unlock this. It's being fully remade to go along with Duodecim's new story mode, which is based off a 3D map system. The plot is the same, but you'll find more 2D events allowing you to explore the story deeper.

 

With two full stories, it may seem like Duodecim is going to offer a lot of play time. This is the case. Takahashi said to expect 15 hours of play time for Duodecim's story. Add in the original's story, and the total shoots up to 60 hours. O_o

 

Nomura promised a surprise for the game at the January 18th 1st Production Department Premier event.

A live telecast on March 2nd will show talk sessions with the development staff and voice actors. The results of the "MAD" play movie contest and illustration contests, now running at Nico Nico Douga and Nico Nico Seiga, will be announced. Yeah, I'm expecting it to be him as well, but Gilgy sucks (I don't think I need to spoilerise it cos gameplay of him came out a few days ago, so people should already know he's in). Seriously, the playstyle of him makes me dissapointed in the game a little......

Been playing the game for the past few days, loving it. The gameplays improved to make it alot more fun, while battles are alot longer and less repetitive than they were in the original. The story for the 12th war has disappointed me a bit, it focus's mostly on the new characters, while old characters not getting much of a spotlight, and I found it was alot shorter than I expected. (clocked the 12th war scenario in 14 hours) Despite its flaws though, it's still very enjoyable.

Hey just curious but how long would the cutscenes add up to? like an hour or a bit more? cause at 14/15 hours I cant imagine itd be more than an hour and a half, its still good for SE but id nearly wish for a bit more.

I'm so getting Prologus when it comes out, I want to get Aerith so badly

Its such a great thing my grant is finally coming in next Friday, Im getting a PSN card, pre-ordering the legacy edition and at last retiring my OLD PSP 1000 for a new PSP 3000 and bigger memory stick. Oh and i'll play Prologus till the memory just degenerates! haha.

 

Btw I realise the irony in buying a new PSP this year but considering how i've had that one since their early days and the numerous improvements of the 3000 i think its time to treat myself and make this one last just as long. Plus the screen on my 1000 has so many flicks under the screen.

I hope we get to play as Siefer in the next game.

Ok so, DISSIDIA 012 HAS RELEASED SOME DLC COSTUMES!

First off, Laguna's DLC Outfit,Sorceress' Knight, is based as Zefer, at a movie filming. (Don't tell me who is zefer and what filming, since i played VIII a little.)

 

Second, Sephiroth's DLC outfit is his appearance on Kingdom Hearts. For you information, The wing on sephiroth's back will be only shown during his EX mode, with the dark blue and black design.

 

Both were released at April 7th at Japan. N/A at North America

 

Soon-to-be-coming-out DLC Costumes

 

Vaan's DLC outfit is more of a traditional pirate outfit. Date not announced yet

 

Yuna's DLC outfit is based on Yuna's gunner outfit on X-2. Date is not announced yet.
