I am enjoying what this is doing but I had way more fun with that one

Having other characters to play around with is something I sorely miss

Torgal is cute and all but he just has 3 commands. Might as well just use the auto ring.

can't wait for the new crazy shit they are gonna add in Rebirth btw RoxasExcite

makes me wonder what they are gonna do for the next mainline game

they already said they don't want to do the same thing again

so it will likely not be XVI or 7R's combat

would be firetrucking amazing if they would really do a pixel game with turn-based combat

or an action adventure style game like Zelda

whatever it is, I just hope parties are back

I am very impressed how they use QTE's in XVI btw

the "it keeps you in action" was correct. The moment I hit the button my brain already prepares for the stagger that follows.

so far attack qte's always follow with a stagger. It helps a lot to differentiate between normal fight cutscene and "comfy cutscene"

and in eikon fights it seems like it's just for spectacle

I just wish the QTEs actually felt tense to do

They give you so much time to press them

it's practically useless

so far it seems to me like their main use is really just so you can differentiate

it's great if they turn out to be hints if a stagger follows

because it gives you time to prepare for it

Yeah I wish the window for QTE's were shorter, or they had some dynamics or movement to them. It's far to easy and it ruins the flow of combat

we need FF14 QTE's RoxasExcite

It's just lots of small bizarre choices

Like why does the whole screen need to freeze just for levelling up

I like the music but just play that

i also found it odd how literally everything freezes abruptly on killing the enemy for the results screen

like theres no fade away or anything lol

always makes me think my capture card borked

Plus like I said, results screen looks really bland, I would have preferred it all be on the screen like in 7R

I don't hate saying this, but I know some of you all will lol but, there's a lot of critiques I, and some of you have had that show DaZ called a lot of this.

I disagree on the graphics front but most of the other stuff was spot on.

Finally getting around to playing it

i mean no product is perfect, and that's fine. if these are the only small critiques we have and we're still fully enjoying ourselves overall i see no issue lol

its never a black and white situation. you can absolutely love something and still have critiques, you can hate something and still find a few aspects great as well

so far so good, I'm a little confused on the story but that's probably just me being at the start

I'm not expecting perfection from anything, but it can't be denied there was some major blind hype for this game happening.

In and out the server, is all Im saying.

after playing this demo for like 21+ hours everything is great for the most part story, gameplay, mechanics, and bosses. the only issue I have which during a second playthrough will be kinda annoying and didnt like this when it happened 5 times in some fights in FF7R are the phase transitions being either too long or too much. I hope in final fantasy/ultimate mode these are skippable and fast. The UI is not a issue at all the health bar is not in the way like everyone thought. im not worried about framerate of the demo cause its 1.01.

other then that menus are clean and dont need to have all this flair
