True. Even on FF mode I felt 16 felt kinda easy

I unironically think that elemental weaknesses were considered at some point but got axed because they thought it's too hard to understand

I think that's different- that's not a difficulty thing that's watering down mechanics thing. That's genuinely one of my least favorite design choices they made tbh.

Remake in comparison is a mostly decent challenge on normal difficulty for normal people

because there's a lot of unavoidable damage

Hellhouse especially was a great challenge

for the average player

and that's what makes encounters memorable

Remake is very........ safe

Even hard with no items wasn't really hard

for us maybe

but not for normal players

I believe I saw multiple threads in the steam forum of FF7 Remake where people bitched about hellhouse being too hard

even on normal difficulty

They need modes that do lvl 1 runs or something this is what I find great about KH

Rebirth will probably be for me the most difficult ARPG because rhythm games are my dark souls
