Posted January 4, 201114 yr Does anybody else think that it would be awesome if Re:Coded came out on PSP rather than the DS? I have a DS and 358/2 and really like em, but I think the PSP system fits kingdom hearts games better. I mean the DS graphics aren't the best and I always feel like im gonna break it or something... The PSP is more robust and the screen is great I know that coded came out for phones first and it made sense to put it on the ds, but I think another PSP kingdom hearts game would be cool idk... what do you think?
January 4, 201114 yr Well, I really think it's okay how it is being on the DS. Nomura said that Re:Coded is for the DS because it's the most popular gaming console worldwide. Also, graphics don't always make a game great.
January 4, 201114 yr If I had a PSP sure it would be awesome but since the only modern hand held device I have is the DS I'm happy it is on there
January 4, 201114 yr I think it fits quite well on the DS. Re:coded to me is what a KH game on the DS should really be. Besides, the main story of Re:coded still left a significant portion of the cartridge empty, and DS carts are 128 MB at the largest iirc, whereas a UMD can hold up to 1.9 GB. So uh, yeah, there's a lot of empty space if you compare it.
January 4, 201114 yr I've got both systems, but i think t really fits the DS. It wouldn't be bad on a PSP, but a DS fits it better.
January 4, 201114 yr Interesting. But since I don't have a psp and I enjoyed days, being a pro at it, I'd prefer it the way it is.
January 4, 201114 yr having it on the ds is fine but ya if it was on the psp that would be great cause thered be better graphics and more cutscenes
January 4, 201114 yr Well it would be cool for it to be on PSP. But the DS is what were getting it on. And hey Atleast they are bing nice enough to give us Coded as an enjoin game. So I'm happy!
January 5, 201114 yr I think it fits quite well on the DS. Re:coded to me is what a KH game on the DS should really be. I'm pretty sure DS carts hold 512 MB having it on the ds is fine but ya if it was on the psp that would be great cause thered be better graphics and more cutscenes But there's not enough content to warrant the new cutscenes and such. Plus, it would be drastically more expensive, for a much less important game than BBS, and take longer to develop. People don't seem to realize that upgrading consoles wold make games better, but it's not very cost effective.
January 5, 201114 yr i don't have psp or ds, so i'm stuck without another kh game either way =(. but as may have said in another thread here at kh13, and i know i've said on a kh fanpage on facebook, i think SE needs to narrow things down to one console and stick with one console. if i were to get a psp or ds, at this point it would probably be just for kingdom hearts game, and maybe some final fantasy games. if that's all i'm going to get them for, then i see no need in getting them, and i can just come here to figure kh games out on those consoles.

Just thought I'd correct you there on those two Reversal. And basically, what Reversal said. I could also see the controls for Re:coded being alot more tight on the PSP, making it less enjoyable to play on PSP, whereas a handheld like the DS is better suited for Re:codeds control system.
January 5, 201114 yr No, I'm not too crazy about it being on PSP. One: I'm not in possession of a PSP. Two: Re:coded BELONGS on a DS. I mean, Nomura wouldn't put it on the DS if it wasn't supposed to be there, would he?
January 5, 201114 yr i just think being able to see all the pixal's then i play the game like when mickey came and saved sora he was all pixalized
January 5, 201114 yr Better graphics and sound on psp. Better gameplay on DS. It is a hard decision, but i'm just glad were getting Coded in the first place.

January 5, 201114 yr I have both and it doesnt matter to me cuz im gonna play either way! but if i had to chose id go w/PSP it looks better and for some reason DS reminds me of kiddy games idk why, but thats just me: )
January 5, 201114 yr I think it depends on what you want the game to feel like. If you want a more old-style game type, DS is the way to go. If you want it to feel more updated, then PSP is the better way. Personally, I'd rather have it on DS, but I wish there were more cutscenes.
January 5, 201114 yr i actually thought months ago before recoded was announced that they would do the english version like by making it a complete port in english and releasing it on psn
