Not really, not in my opinion at least.

We've seen some flashbacks when and after Xion's "death" came. But they weren't actually shown in the game until Xion died. To Roxas and Axel, those were flashbacks.

Agreed. They did show flashbacks, just not when she died.

 

I don't think it would have made it any sadder if they did though.

They wanted to focus on her death, showing flashbacks at that time would've almost lightened the mood. Or at least that's my opinion.

When Zack died it was sad but those memories and stuff made you feel like he was going to a better place and was happy.
