these days the good old cartoon media channels have changed completely. and i mean changed for the worst

Disney Channel

4 Kids TV (even though it sucked to begin with)

they bacicly said F** this and took out the good old shows we know and love and replaced it with crap!

Heres a example:

I remember when i was little i would love to stay up all night and wacth Toonami on Cartoon Network. They removed it and pissed me off. They replaced it with crap like MAD and The Regular Shows. Cartoon Network used to show only Cartoons (hence the name Cartoon Network) now they show live action shows like Dude What Would Happen?! and other crap. Same thing with Disney. All day everyday Mickey Mouse and friends. Now its Hannah Montana, Salena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and other people. and the thing is, they do something bad!

Hannah Montanah: striped on a stripper pole at teen choice awards, smoke pot, dress in super tight short clothes

Demi Lovato: Cuts herself got into rehab

Vanessa Hudgens: posted nude pics online.

i mean what is going on with the media

and let me not mentioned 4 Kids

they took the good original Japanese Anime shows and changed it around completely and they don't even get the right to finish the series!

and we got people making fun of games just because theres no blood in it. Heres the basic rule: Not Mario, No Blood, It sucks

Kingdom Hearts was ridiculed when its a perfect work of art. The music the story everything. and Pokemon too. There is people who rate it who give it a bad overall and review because "Its a baby game" like come on.

I agree. They replaced Cow and Chicken (Even though it was s*@!) with Adventure Time. Yu-Gi-Oh with Bakugan (Dont even get me started). And Doug with The Mighty Bee.

Might be just where you live. TV is fine in Australia. We still get all the good Anime, and other good shows.

Over here, Yu-Gi-Oh still plays, almost daily, but it's one of the spinoffs, like GX or 5D or one of those.....

As much as I hate Billy and Mandy I would have to go with Invader Zim. I remember this one episode when Zim just stared at a screen and said Matalis for 3 minutes and when Billy choped off his nose. Oh and the one with the court. Okay new question. What cartoon do you hate more? Adventure Time or the Mighty Bee?

Billy and Mandy isn't much anymore in Australia. That show was the biggest lol, and I'm sixteen. Same with Adventure Time. My brothers watch it but from the few episodes I've seen it's pretty funny. The reason they're both funny is because lot's of random and gross scenes that you wouldn't normally see on kids shows. There's a scene in Billy and Mandy when one of the kids stack on his bike and get's half his face ripped off, HILARIOUS! (only because it's animated. real life would not be funny). I just wish they had the original Rugrats episodes back on. They were the best. Oh and Dexter's Lab! Nostalgia.

Rugrats still comes on in the morning @ nick.

Not in Australia. Well at least not that I know of. And not the All Grown Up episodes.

I actually think MAD is alright. At least it isn't as bad as the CN Real shit they were trying to promote.

Toonami was never that great to me, lol. It's annoying how butthurt people get about it being canceled. /rantrant

 

I miss a bunch of old shows though; I remember getting up at like 5 in the morning in fourth grade to watch Invader Zim (it was already off regular time slots by the time I started watching it D: ). Cartoon Network used to be one of my favorites as well (Ed, Edd, and Eddy and Dexter's Lab fufufu<3). Never really liked Disney though.

 

Though I don't think KH is a really a "work of art", people complaining about bloodless video games are annoying.

 

tl;dr Toonami is overrated, old shows and gorn-free games are good.

I live in Canada and the only cartoon channel i watch is retro because plays Batman:the aminated series,Transformers,The flintstones,Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show,The Real Ghostbuster,G.I Joe.I miss shows like X-men,The Tick,Super-man the aminated series,Pinky and the Brain,Animaniacs,Gargoyles,Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers,Tiny Toon Adventures,TMNT

^Those are some cartoons I cant stand.

The Media is nothing more than an international brainwashing service.

 

Apparently the media is trying to encourage laziness, humping every person you meet, beating up every person you meet, doing drugs, and as always anti-american and/or anti-capitalism propaganda.

If you want to watch the good stuff, it's all on Boomerang. Even Dexter's Lab and other older Cartoon Network cartoons.

 

I just have to say this about CN: Why the hell are there real life shows on there!? It's Cartoon Network! CARTOON Network! Really awesome. >=/

I do like SOME of the newer shows out now, but the older ones are classics that can never be replaced.

Miguzi and Toonami was THE SHIT when I was a kid... I remember being in love with The Prince Of Tennis, One Peice, Naruto and Maar... They cancelled it because of that stupid thing where a kid suffocated himself in sand as he pretended to be Gaara. =/

 

I'll admit, most of the newer shows are HORRID on Nick and Disney... Cartoon Network got more involved in pre-teens and what they like; hence words like "pissed" and "sucks" in the Regular Show and Adventure Time, etc. Billy and Mandy and Invader Zim I've enjoyed a lot, though. (I watch it everyday when I come home from school before motherf***in' CNReal comes on.)

 

Speaking of CNReal, who came up with that on CARTOON NETWORK? EMPHASIS ON 'CARTOON'! =/ Media sure does suck lately. That's why I watch Comedy Central, Korean reality shows, anime, and other Asian stuff since foreign countries seem to be a lot more intelligent when it comes to these kinds of things.

Cartoon Network = Absolute crap. Been horrible ever since Stuart Snyder took charge. (Ugh... Stuart Snyder...)

 

Nickelodeon = Don't watch it much anymore, but it seems OK. SpongeBob's went down in quality and the live-action shows are useless, though.

 

Disney Channel = Don't have much trouble with that, as I can enjoy some shows from time to time, and Phineas & Ferb is awesome! Possibly doing the best out of the three.

Uh... heh heh. < ... You see, it's just that... the live-action shows don't add much in that they're basically teen dramas there to fill in the time slots... Don't kill me! *hides in turtle shell*

Nickelodeon used to be gold. Kenan and Kel, The Amanda Show, All That and so on back in the 90s. Drake and Josh are basically the last of the old nickelodeon stars to keep Nickelodeon true to its name. Now its just pure crap.

 

Disney was alright. Lizzie Mcguire, Thats So Raven, and The Suite Life Of Zack & Cody. But after those 3 shows, Disney has been showing crap ever since. I don't watch the latest cartoon anymore ever since Totally Spies and the other cartoon with the anime-ish kinda guy hero whatsoever. Forgot the name. haha.

 

Cartoon Network was pure gem. Just pure cartoon. Now some shows kinda blah and lost its originality. Kinda miss watching Captain Planet. haha.
