The tech behind Wii U is interesting, at least for me, but the controller is awful and I hope it would be redesigned. Also it was a little bit confusing. I thought that it was new controller for Wii and since they haven't show the actual console, I'm a little bit skeptical.

my freind was like"No it's a controller"

and then i said "a contrller? dosent the wii have enogh controllers?

The console wasn't focused but if you watched when they presented the controller the console was there.

I lol'd. That was seriously the first thing I did. I lol'd at "Wii U."

 

Ah well, at least I'm happy that Nintendo can now get the games that they didn't get on the Wii because of its low graphical power/non-HD-ness. Plus, the controller has normal controller controls ala GameCube, but though huge, it DOES look kinda comfortable in the videos I saw of folks playing it. Plus it has that sweet screen on it, so I can't really complain for much, except for whether the thing will take batteries, or it will be the PS3's wireless DualShock 3.

 

So what's too complain about? I mean, maybe they stretched the backwards compatibility a bit TOO much, making the system have its predecessor's name in it and showing Wiimotes in a bunch of its promo videos, but that's about it.

It's a fancy new controller that goes with a fancy console. It's the Wiis successor.

The tech is intersing but 3rd part support is confusing like Arkham city that comes out this year

The Wii U should have been a controler worth $30. Then I'd be happier.

The one concern I have is that its controller has two analog sticks, but it is supposed to be compatible with the Wiimotes, which only have one.

 

I have really no idea what to think of the system as of now. The name is really awful, and I wish they would have taken Wii out of the name. The controller could be interesting, but I have a feeling it will be either awesome or a complete failure.

the comercial for the wii u is a really long one 3 mins. long!!

Well uh... holy shit, that's the cheapest HQ touchscreen motion sensing controller with a camera and touchscreen EVER.

Seriously, regular wiimotes do LESS and these would be cheaper.

Second, why would you be happier about that rather than a shiny new console?

I thought" Is that a tablet that guy is holding?"*, I mean look at it it looks like a huge tablet, the wii u didn't have an hardware details, so I'am disapointed at nintendo

I thought, "Nintendo, people have had enough things broken by throwing their Wii controllers around. Why, oh why, did you decide to give us something much bigger and more expensive to break?"

 

I have yet to see if you can have a wristband on this thing too.

 

Nintendo is not very famous with having long battery lives recently either *cough3DScough*

 

The 1080p and two analogs is a step up. Hopefully they can get more games lined up with them but it will sell regardless. Nintendo is still #1 when it comes to family games.
