Okay, there is something I would really like to know and it's about Final Fantasy. Well, I've never played an RPG Final Fantasy game before but I want to know, what's it like playing FF RPG games? I mean, the only FF game I've played was Dissidia but I don't count that as an RPG type FF game since it's more of a all-around type game. So tell me, are the RPG type FF games (like FF7, FFX, FFXIII) interesting? Like what FF games do you consider the best? I heard that FFX and FF7 were the best ones out of the entire FF series, so is the gameplay really that good as people say it is? I know the stories of both FF games are good since I've watched walkthroughs of those games and other FF games. But tell me, how does the gameplay feel when you all play them with your own hands? I must know, I want to get myself more into FF series. Is FF XIII any good? I've heard from other people that the gameplay sucked and that it wasn't really too much of what people expected. Please tell me about the gameplay, it seems interesting. But to be honest, I don't undertand it.... at all. I mean the gameplay kinda looks a little confusing than all the other FF games I've seen lol. So yeah, tell me about that game and if it's worth getting or not. I do plan on doing a walkthrough of both FF XIII and XIII-2.

I'm pretty sure all the people who hate FFXIII just don't like the battle system but I think it's fine and takes a bit of strategy after the beginning of the game. I got annoyingly stuck on a boss since March and still haven't beaten it but I love the game as much as FFVII (which is amazing as well). I've never played FFVII but I've played Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus and I think there both great. Crisis Core has a battle system kinda similar to KH, you can move, attack, use magic, and block/dodge roll (uses points similar to MP). Dirge of Cerberus is a 3rd person shooter, you have a hand gun, rifle, and machine gun you can upgrade and such, when fighting you can use magic (if equipped), jump, dodge roll, crouch. Well this post is getting long, I think FFVII and XIII are the best games but I've seen walkthroughs of X and X-2 and I like them a lot too.

Unless you have the old playstation, forget about Final Fantasy VII; as for Final Fantasy XIII, it is an interesting game but the battle system is a little complicated to get

Final Fantasy xiii felt like a bit of a let down in terms of gameplay. Keep in mind, I was hardly following this game during development and didn't hype it up at all, which probably could attribute to many of the people's let downs. It was pretty simply, just switching paradigms and pressing the x butting every couple seconds while keeping track on how well your characters are doing. In the case they were low on health, swith to a healing paradigm and wait to regain health. I would be fine with this but I'm not choosing my commands at all leaving me with a flashy combo requiring little effort. This would have created both the positive and negative response with the positive ones being from the players who aren't very skilled or take pride in figuring out the best combination against such an enemy (fire type or such), and the negative response being from maybe those people who liked ff tactics more, which I see as the other extreme. Tactics was a bit too tactical (and was a ps1 game with errors such as losing your party permamently along with all of the levels that they gained then saving; I will go into this more later) so I found the moderate ffx to be my favorite game of all. I can't speak for ff7 as I have never played it.

It may be what your looking for that will make ff xiii per se your favorite game gameplay wise, and this probably also has something to do with the generation that you play in. It seems like games in the past always have errors that make them impossibly hard (to me at least) and games that have come later one might have things that make them too easy, but this may just be an illusion to us because of what our generation is looking for in the game, so expect how different generations looking back on past games to change.

I've played some of Final Fantasy 10 and 10-2 when I was a younger. It was basic, simple, and fun. I'm sure you've looked at gameplay of lots of games and thought it was hard, confusing, and that you wouldn't understand it if you played, and when you did play those things it was easy, and you had nothing to worry about. This also applies to Final Fantasy. The best games were FF7 and FF10(though those were only 2 of the 5 FF walkthroughs I've watched).

To be honest im as lost as kingdomhearts125! I don't know nothing about any final fantasy games

Actually the battle system is not confusing for the people who play it but it will looks confusing for the people who had just watch the gameplay and the trailer without playing it , Final Fantasy XIII is really a cool game but I am sure it wont be better than Final Fantasy Versus 13 cuz ffv13 gonna be similar to kh command , anyway if u want really to get into ff series juts don't play the old games cuz they r kind of boring right now , I will give u some cool final fantasy games : ff Dissidia and 012 , Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core , Final Fantasy XIII and XIII 2 , Final Fantasy Versus 13 , Final Fantasy Type Zero , Final Fantasy Ring Of Fates and Final Fantasy IV (the DS one ), oh and u should know before getting into ff series that most of ff games need a time to attack.

Actually, if you have a PSP you can download FF7, FF8, and FF9 onto it and play them. I did and it's great, though you do have to buy them, but it's cheaper then actually buying the games on ebay.

Personally, I really like the gameplay. The only thing I don't like is that while you're setting up your attacks, the enemy still attacks you, which can be a pain sometimes. There have been times when one of my characters is low on health and while I'm going into the magic menu to select cure, an enemy attacks them and kills them. But the games are really good.

As for FF13, I never played it, but my sister did. She didn't really like the battle system, nor did she like that you could only follow a linear path, rather than being able to go anywhere you wanted after you got an airship.

Wait for FFXIII-2 there you can jump! and there are going to be more variety in the gameplay. like more mini-stuff and not just strait forward. well i think the Square enix chief guy that was on E3 said so.

you should start with the first one to know the story a bit more though.

I personally love FFXIII. It's the best game I've played in a while. I highly recommend it. I've never played any other FF game before, so I'm not what you call your usual FF fan. I wasn't let down at all.

I would suggest possibly spoiling yourself slightly before the game by reading some articles on FF Wiki. Don't spoil storyline events, but look up what l'cie are and what fal'cie and ci'eth are so that you aren't confused when you start off.
