Why are so many people (including FF fans) are hating so much on Final Fantasy XIII-2? I mean, I can understand that the first FF XIII wasn't "great" for many fans of Final Fanyasy because of the "horrible" gameplay and linear path you had to take on the levels. But seriously come on, why so much trash talk about a game that hasn't even come out yet? This is like with Sonic fanboys, nothing is perfect for them when each new Sonic game is out. There always complains of Sonic's eye color is different, the stages aren't like Sonic 1 and 2, and he has a voice. This is exactly how FF fanboys/fangirls might become in the future. They won't accept change in a new game. Don't get me wrong, I can understant why people didn't like XIII all too well with the different battle system and the linear gameplay. But I'm just saying that people sould give XIII-2 a chance and play it first before judging it right out of the bat.

And I actually really liked XIII. I don't think it was the best, and could have definitely been better..but still. It's nothing to cry over. Those fanboys/ fangirls need to get over it. Hell, they might even end up liking XIII-2, but who knows.

Just take what you can. So what, XIII displeased fans but I really enjoyed it. XIII-2 looks cooler and I doubt its gonna turn into another X-2 (which I still enjoyed). As long as a new game in a series I like comes out I'm happy.

Oh yeah..hey have you guys seen the trailer of ff 13x-2 It looks pretty good,but if they release it on the x box 360 first i'm not gonna buy it. They had to ruined it with black ops call of the dead ...something...something.

its just opinions. some people have different taste in games, some people dont like when series change, some people hate sequels... i think ffxiii is great but i usually care more about story and graphics over gameplay. i think ffxiii has great gameplay, actually, because it requires skill and tactics rather than hitting r1 the fastest. imo you should hate a game when all youve seen is a trailer. it's like seeing the trailer for green lantern at the movie theatre and instantly deciding you hate the movie because you dont like the color green.

I love X-2! But i didn't really like the dress spheres, that's all, but the battle system is like any other FF Battle, LIKE XVII!

It seems to be fixing all the complaints about XIII as well, I think people are just paranoid it'll turn out 'terrible' like X-2 did.

I can't wait to play XIII-2. I'm interested, especially because of the temple. Plus, the scene with extending the sword was cool. I did play 13 and liked it, gameplay could have been better but I adapted to it. So many questions left unanswered b/c of the trailer, a trip to the past of Cocoon, LIghtning's new world, and she still has her summon I think.

i thought ff13 was epic i didnt mind the gameplay or battle system but then again it was the first ff game i actually bought but i have to say from what i've seen of the trailers for ff13-2 it looks pretty epic and the storyline looks like its going to be really good trying to find out what happened to lightning and way serahs the only one who remembers some kind of truth about what happened to her

I agree and disagree. FF10 was the last game made in the spirit of the old Final Fantasies. Even then, you could see it evolving into what it is today. As far as I'm concerned, the new FFs are still excellent games, but they're bogged down by the fact that they're FF games. FF12 played like a MMORPG, and had a very different story than what I'd expect from FF... in a way it reminded me of Dragon Quest more than FF. Fitting since it's Square ENIX now, not just Square.

In fact, I think there's your problem right there, Enix is adding its own slant to FF, and you probably don't like their style as much (I know I don't)

Also, I personally found that X-2 was the last great hurrah for classic style FF. It basically took that awesome edngame part of older FFs, where you can go all around he world and get sidequests and such, and made an entire game about it. It's failure is probably why Square Enix decided people didn't want classic style FF anymore.
