So I've had this theory recently, as Nomura said that the whole game would not be the mark of mastery exam, I assume that the end of the game will take place outside of the exam. I think that only riku passes the exam, because he is less ambitious and more focused than sora. I believe Sora misses it barely but nonetheless doesn't get it. I think that the final battle will be Riku vs. Xehanort, because Riku has become the only one truly ready to defeat Xehanort. Riku ends up beating Xehanort, by tapping into his own darkness, but this allows Xehanort to take Riku over (Xehanort said terra was only one of many roads he could take). Xehanort realizes how strong Riku actually is, and even more powerful than Terra at this point. Riku is the only other person who we know of that could be an option for Xehanort to take over, because of his powers of darkness, regardless of his control over it. This whole sequence leads us to KH3 OR happens WITHIN KH3 as part of that story. This also leads to Terra becoming free. Sora ends up having to fight Xehanort too, but he ultimately defeats him in KH3!

Cool theory, but it would suck if they both don't become masters. Sora was acting cocky, but I think during the course of the game, he will learn a lesson that will force him to grow up.

Sora is the more ambitious one? Sora has practically no ambition whatsoever.

I really don't get why everyone's freaking out about what Sora said. We haven't seen the whole scene. Maybe it'll apply better when we hear more of the dialogue.

And Sora has always been cocky. He never really means it though. I just think that's how he deals with things: making it into a game.

Also, I really don't think the line's that bad. He's just saying he doesn't think he should have to re-learn to use the Keyblade after everything he's been through (although he says it differently). And I have to agree. He's done far better than Ven, Terra, or Aqua, and they all had proper training.

Honestly, I don't know why that one line is making everyone hate Sora. It's nowhere near as bad as CoM's, "I'll save Naminé, Riku, AND the king...and I'll do it blindfolded! Heartless? Hah!! Forces of evil, do your worst!"

But that's just my two cents.

u guys know how is sora,,, he takes all like a game...till he´s friends gets hurt....btw he defeated alot of ppl u.u

I think I can agree with this. Your right about Sora and Riku. Sora tends to get over his head and become overly confident while Riku at this point is more self doubting and more serious than Sora. But I think at the end of the day they are both gonna past the test and end Xenahort.

One thing that I can't seem to get out of my head though, How can Ansem the Heartless still be around inside Riku(remember COM/ Days and KH2) If Xenahort is going to be ressurected. Riku was going through what Terra went through with Xenahort but he was winning, but Ansem said he'll always be around. This just confuses me. Any thoughts?

You guys do realize that for one of them to fail, that means they don't make it out of the Dream World. If you saw the trailer and read the subtitles, you'll see that Yen Sid told them if they made it out of the Dream World they'd be Masters. So the only way for them to fail is to not come out of the Dream World, which we know they both will. Also, they won't have the final battle of the game be against Xehanort, as he's the final boss of KH3.

Looks to me like the final boss will be a joined battle, where there control will switch between Riku fighting Xehanort heartless and Sora fighting Xemnas... Of course it would be dream world recreations of them.

I read so many times that when a heartless and nobody are defeated, the original life returns, if that is the case then Xehanort would have returned to life at the end of KH2, at some point in 3D we will see him regain his memories of being MX / Terranort and thus be the main villain for KH3.

Not to sound harsh... but this really isn't a theory, it's a fan fic.

I really want Sora to face some real problem because of his cockyness. But that's not because I hate him. Do you see my avatar and my user name? I LOVE SORA THE MOST. But i also love when the main character gets some trouble. That's why I want Sora to getinto darkness. That's why now I love Neku after playing TWEWY. I wish Sora would become more serious, just like Neku.

I think they'll both become masters. Sora was acting any more cocky than he usually is, and (imo) Riku wasn't being confident enough :P.

I hope we don't fight Xehanorts heartless and Xemnas as the final boss. I wan't the final boss to be after the mark of mastery exam and take place in the real world.

To be fair, one of them COULD get stuck there, and then the other has to go back into the Dream Worlds to rescue them. It's possible. And it fits the 'MoM exam won't be the entire game' tidbit.

Now about Xehanort. It's very possible for him to be the Final Boss. They don't have to kill him off in this game. In fact, they could LOSE to Xehanort to legitimize his threat level in KH3.

Actually, Xehanort beating Sora and Riku could be the excuse as to why Sora and Riku will be level 1 again in KH3.

Also, you're assuming that Xehanort will be the final boss. A plot twist would not be a surprise at all. Granted, I HOPE Xehanort is the final boss, but he's not the only option.
