I'm a big fan of PKA(Pain Killer Already) and Woody brought up the question, "Who's life is tougher. Guys or Girls?" So I'm just wondering what you guys think, and why.

i dont mean to pull up sexism on you guys, but it is in fact still rampant in western culture. where women are discriminated soley for the fact they are women, men are not. and i know someone will jump on me for saying that, and by all means, i dont mean to attack anyone or set anyone off. men are not discriminated for their gender-- in cases of discrimination against men, it is for their class, ethnicity, etc. with women, it is gender AND any/all of those things.

hopefully that makes a bit of sense, i dont really want to get into an argument or start a 'fight' as ill have to close the thread lol. x:

Guys:

They have the balls, they fight and stand up for the women. <== Technically the same could be said for women. (The second part obviously.) I would fight and stand up for my brothers, and both are the same height as me and weigh more.

 

Girls:

They fear getting raped and dealt with puberty at an earlier age than guys. <== I don't fear getting raped because I know I could beat whoever tried up. It's not something we're always thinking about. 99.999% of the population doesn't even have to worry about it, because it's rarer than what you'd think.

 

lexi, 1/4 girls are raped/sexually abused in their lives. i dont know where you get your information, but its much more common than you think. perhaps youre thinking of the masked man jumping you at night? that is quite rare, most sexual assault is caused by someone the victim knows. Most of the time, cases of rape are not reported to the police and the victim keeps it to themselves for the rest of their lives due to shame/pressure/etc., and even when it is reported 90% of rape victims do not see their assaulters spend a day in prison.

Yeah I know. I said on a common point of view if a woman rapes a straight single man it's very likely the man will like it.

Girls. By far. Why?

Because we always have to be the ones to 'be protected' and 'have lesser body strength' and 'to care for the children at home'. We're stereotyped so darn often that it's really starting to get to me. We were discriminated heavily in the past and we're still discrimated against today, as I heard people in my geography class say that Women's Rights are stupid. Grrrrrrrr...

And just look at Kingdom Hearts! There are three girl characters playable in the entire series, three girls in the series that can actually FIGHT (Aqua, Xion and Larxene) while the boys do all of the work. I really hope either Kairi mans up or a new strong female Keyblade Wielder comes soon.

I hate the stereotypes. In movies, we look sassy, we look like we're obsessed with fashion and romance and have to be protected. But no. I, for one, almost never say 'like' in my sentences, I get bored just as easily as a guy does with fashion, hate romance and I've picked a physical fight against boys here or there, I'll admit.

Oh yeah, and there's the childbirth and periods as well. My. GOSH. They're. PAINFUL.
