Do You Think Keeping the Worlds Separate is a Good or Bad Thing?

Posted

Skip to 5:00 in and watch/listen/read Kairi's Grandma tell the story of the scattered worlds: http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bTDnYtZTgA&feature=channel_video_title

Long ago, people lived in peace, bathed in the warmth of light. Everyone loved the light. Then people began to fight over it. They wanted the light for themselves. And darkness was born in their hearts. The darkness spread, swallowing the light and many people's hearts. It covered everything, and the world disappeared. But small fragments of the light survived... in the hearts of children. With these fragments of light, children rebuilt the lost world. It's the world we live in now. But the true light sleeps, deep within the darkness. That's why the worlds are still scattered, divided from each other. But someday, a door to the innermost darkness will open. And the true light will return. So, listen, child. Even in the deepest darkness, there will always be light to guide you. Believe in the light, and the darkness will never defeat you. Your heart will shine with its power and push the darkness away. What I get from the story, is to be able to live with the worlds connected, is a great glorious thing, but because of the anger, the hatred, the pride, and the thirst for power, (in this case--darkness), we [they] can't ever dwell peacefully if their worlds are connected, ergo, keeping the worlds separate is for the best. However, there is always hope that one day, they can reunite and live with the worlds connected once again.

But that's just what I got out of it.

----------------------------------------

I want to know what you guys got out of this story. And if you believe having the Worlds connected be a good or bad thing. Is it better to have the Worlds remain separate. Please state your opinion, and feel free to post articles, cut scenes, etc. for more information on this subject. Thanks!

That's nice. But what else do you get from the legend?

Its bad,I know.

It's a really good question. On one hand, there's a strong theme of sticking together in KH (friendship and such). But then the worlds are seperated, seemingly for their own protection, so then if one world falls at least the other will still be safe. And really this wouldn't work if there wasn't a keyblade wielder who could go to other worlds and keep them safe (and we see that after TVA disappear the worlds start falling until Sora comes to save them).

But is it really good to isolate them? I would like to say no, that they should stick together and conquer the darkness with combined force. But I can understand the logic of keeping the worlds separate too. But I think that as long as their are keyblade wielders like Sora around (and they can get rid of that ***hole Xehanort), the worlds can survive as a single world.

wasn't that a way to prevent the merging of the hearts of the world and resparking the keyblade war.

tutti frutti. I find that to be a very good question. That's definitely one great perspective of looking at why the worlds are isolated, and preventing the Keyblade War from coming to past.

To get back to the thread at hand, I more so have mixed views about the worlds being isolated. For the most part, the residence of each should be aware of what's going on outside of their own world. For example, if MX does bring about the Keyblade War, then those that are willing to fight should be given ample time to prepare should the results effect them directly. No matter what happens, if something major negatively effects the worlds, then the people should know about it. At the same time, I kind of think that it would be disastrous for worlds knowing about one another. Look at Pete for example, in KH2 he went around and "TRIED" to cause trouble for the worlds. Imagine if more characters began to find a method to travel between worlds and cause their own real version of trouble. MX is the first major villain to do this and look whats happened in the series so far. So to me it's really hard to say.

Well if the legends and history repeats itself in their battle for the light the war will bring ultimate darkness upon the universe.

tutti frutti. True there. And if the story that Kairi's Grandmother holds truth behind it in any way, then there is light within the darkness. If the universe does in fact fall into darkness, then the light could come into fruition and help those covered in darkness. But it's hard to say.

that story holds merit Master xehanort said that after the keyblade war the universe fell to darkness. The surviving light within children restored the world and restructured it to what we know now

tutti frutti. That's right he did. I for one would love to see those events actually happen in the series at some point and time. Seeing darkness take over, and then the light saving everything would be a great way to add to the plot of the series. Though it's just something I'm hoping for in the series.

Together anything is possible.

well the X-Blade is key factor in this so we can be at least assured that it will make a return

tutti frutti. Yeah, now that it is a key symbol to the Kingdom Hearts Universe, the X-Blade will without a doubt make a comeback in my opinion.

I find it especially relevant that she says this, as this is basically what happens at the end of KH. I think this may hint at the future where the worlds may be reconnected again and Kingdom Hearts will be restored to its former glory.

The problem is, there are always people who will want to agitate things and bring the darkness, ie all the disney villains and people like Xehanort. Maybe someday everyone will learn to be satisfied with what they have and to stop trying to bring pain to each other.

But I doubt it.

Also, who can see Kairi's grandmother once being a keyblade weilder or something important? lol

I also think the children of the light is relevant to the princesses of heart. Just a hunch. I always wondered how that worked though; are there like always 7 princess, where when one dies, a new one is born? lol now I'm just making my brain hurt.

I thought she might have been one of the original children that restore the world with fragment of light aka princesses of heart

I don't know about that. Her and Master Xehanort can't be too far apart in age, and Master Xehanort makes it sound like it happened a long time ago even in his age. So any of those original children would be long died. But maybe she could be a descendant.

Thats very true(good point) but one thing to keep in mind is MX has been using darkness all this time it could have affected his appearance.

But then Master Eraqus trained under the same master and he looks pretty old as well. If Master Eraqus looked relatively young compared to Master Xehanort, I would consider it. But I doubt darkness can age a person to a great extent. It's not confirmed anyway.

Eraqus shouldered darkness in his own heart only difference is he was to blinded by his views of light and darkness to see it. But any way your right it's not confirmed so it doesn't matter

would it be really weird if all the worlds are one.its because they're really different from each other. like twtnw meets disney town
