Update: Sony Computer Entertainment America has responded to our request for a statement, confirming that the Jak & Daxter Trilogy -- referred to by SCEA as Jak & Daxter Collection -- is indeed real.

 

What did SCEA have to say? "We can confirm the Jak and Daxter Collection is coming and will have more news to share shortly."

So what you think of Jak and daxter trilogy? Is this going to lead to the next JAD game?

 

 

Wikipedia says game is TBA for 2012 but that's not great source.

I hope so because I miss the badass duo that we had. I replay Jak 2 for the fun of it and the challenge that it has. I believe it's the hardest of all of them because I beat it in a month and Jak and Daxter tpl in two days Jak3 in about four and Jak and Daxter tlf in maybe two as well even though I didn't have Dark Jak to kill everything.

Hope so but I need to buy a ps3 but still I hope they come out with a Jak 4 it would be great

this gives me a chance to play the original jak again! its been so long!

I really hope this remaster spawns a new game with dignity for once, not some spin off car battle/racing game, or one nearly entirely independent of the other games' plots. That's just not what you do with such a great series.

personally Jak X was my favorite then the precursor legacy...as long as jak x comes to the ps3 or added into the collection im happy...

 

And they should definitely do it for ratchet and clank as well...

I've actually never had the chance to play the Jak & Daxter games so this will be my chance to get into the franchise ^^

Might pick it up, I've been meaning to play a LOT of PS2 games, and it seems they're remaking all of them!

sweetness ever since lending my ps2 to my cousin (big mistake) i been wanting to play jax again but i have a slim ps3 so no ps2 games for me but when this comes out i am so getting it

Sounds good to me.

I hope Naughty Dog does Jak 4 because the Lost Frontier with graphics was bad and the missions weren't even challenging to me.

After weeks of speculation, the Jak and Daxter Collection is officially official. Developer Naughty Dog Co-President Evan Wells stopped by the PlayStation Blog to confirm that the collection will hit this February and include Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II and Jak 3.

 

 

While Naughty Dog itself won't be working on the collection -- the developer made the original games but Mass Media will handle porting them -- you can expect the typical PS3 collection standards. The Jak and Daxter Collection will be in HD (720p), support 3D and include Trophies.
