KH13’s 2^ndannual Holiday Secret Santa!

 

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! Are you ready to spread the holiday cheer?

Hello there everyone! As the holiday season is around the corner, the time has come for us to start this event! Last year we had a wonderful group that participated and I hope for more to join us this year! It’s the season of giving, so come and sign up in the spirit of the season!

 

What is the “Secret Santa?”

A Secret Santa is an anonymous member of our forum that has signed up for this event! Their job is to create a gift for a lucky member KH13 staff will assign to them! Only the participants will be giving and receiving though!

 

Rules and Basic Info:

- We will have any number of members sign up via this thread.

- Each participant will receive another member's name of which they will create anything for that said person. It can be a video, fan-art, or graphics. Whatever you want to do!

- The person who you will create a gift for will be picked via random name generator/picker. You do not choose whom you will give to or receive from.

- SIGNING UP MEANS YOU'RE WILLING TO CREATE SOMETHING THOUGHTFUL REGARDLESS OF THE PERSON. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THIS FACT, DO NOT JOIN.

- If you do not like who was picked for you, tough luck. You signed up for this. It's up to you to stick to the commitment. Everyone else might get someone they didn’t want to create something for but they'll still push through to bring the Christmas Cheer to everyone! You can do the same. If you do not you won’t be allowed to participate next year.

- Gifts can be KH-Related, but they aren't strictly just Kingdom Hearts. Look into the person's interests; take the time to get to know what they like!!! Make it meaningful!

- You will not be told who your Secret Santa is until you receive their gift! That's how it goes. C:

-This will ONLY, and I mean ONLY be for those who participate. Do not expect to receive a gift if you do not wish to take the time to make one. This is about giving, not receiving.

- When you receive your gift, be considerate of the person who gave it to you!!! They took the time and effort to make something for you, the least you can do is offer them a big thank you back. C:

- In relation to the last point, don't just make something in five minutes PLEASE! D; others will be giving out the effort to create wonderful pieces of art; the least you could do is the same for your Secret Pal. It's understandable that members’ skills are at different levels, but it IS noticeable when you don't give out your effort.

- If you READ and AGREE with all of this, say "Sign Me Up!" at the end of your post. So I know you read it.

- In the end, remember! It's the thought that counts.

- The "Recommended Due Date" is Christmas! However if you are late by a day or two, it should be fine. The holidays are a busy time we all understand! New Years is a bit late, but is acceptable however I would finish it before then if I were you!!

- If you're unsure, it's okay to sign up for now but when I start drawing the names of each person's Secret Santa’s I'll PM to remind you that you’ve signed up.

- Once the names are drown no backing out! Don’t be a party pooper.

- If you need help for ideas, feel free to PM me or another person taking part in this!!!

- PARTICIPANTS: DO NOT IM ME FIVE DAYS BEFORE THE DUE DATE SAYING YOU CAN'T DO IT. You signed up so keep to your commitment. >; At least tell me further in advance. But I'd really appreciate it if you stay in this till the end.

Once we get things rolling, a PM will be sent to you of whom you are assigned to create a gift for. It will be randomly picked via random generator as stated above.

The "recommended due date” is December 25, 2010 @ 11:50 P.M. Central Standard Time (KaiSo's Time ).

However due to any "holiday-related" circumstances, a belated gift is acceptable. But please be at least within a day or two past the due date. New Years is a bit...Late.

 

"Where do we post our Secret Santa Gifts?"

-If it's a video, upload it to wherever you normally upload videos such as youtube.

-Upload Fanart or Graphics wherever you normally do on a photo-sharing website such as photobucket or something.

-Any other ideas for gifts are more than welcome, just find some way to upload it and give it to the person.

Then either post in the thread and reveal it here or sent it privately to the person!

Do what ever you can. If you mean a drawing, well you just draw and scan.

If you mean digital just get a picture editing software and use it.

Do something you CAN and KNOW HOW TO do.

I do not have a video software.

But I have a pen, paper, and Microsoft Word 2010.

Thanks for signing up everyone! I'll leave this open for about a week just to make sure everyone that wants to join has an opportunity to do so. Once then I'll determine who gets who. Also it gives time for people to make sure they're going to commit to this!! We had a very good turnout last year and everyone did a splendid job! I'm looking forward to the event this year too.

 

Remember it can be anything you want, but it is going to be a personal gift to that person, so be sure to investigate on what that person likes once you get your Secret Santa.

I might have things going, or my dad locks the internet, so I can almost guarantee that it won't be right away or anything.

But if my dad actually keeps it on for however long, it might be really late. But then gain, I can just go on the computer at the public library. I'll make it work somehow.

Pretty much yeah. It leaves a fairly descent number of days to work on, and although I set it for Dec. 25th it's really only preferred for the gift to be done by Christmas, since it's fairly understandable that some might be busy around the time so as long as they give it within a day or two after but no later than New Years its fine. c:

o-o Vocaloids aren't my absolute favorite thing in the whole wild world though.
