I was just browsing the web like usual but I turned up my brightness settings to halfway. It seriously started getting hot. Another time, the same thing happened. And when I say hot, I mean hot, not warm. Also, if I play Skyrim and keep my wireless on, it becomes really really hot, seriously annoying. I don't know what to do. I've been using the lowest possible brightness setting for everything to save power but if it can't even handle medium brightness, what am I going to do? Any recommendations to avoid overheating my computer or solutions to the problem.

I saw these things at Best Buy that are supposedly supposed to cool your computer down. They're only for laptops, though. Or at least that I saw. They're little squishy pillow things.

This is usually a sign that the fans in the computer along with all the other parts of it is getting swallowed up by dust. what ya need to do is to take it a part (not all the way just the covers) and blow it out with a air gun . also make sure to put it on a hard service and prop it up a little bit so that the computer can breath, a computer thats suffocating will become vary hot. also check your fans to make sure they work and the heat sinc is blown out,

 

Also when you play games demanding games like skyrim your core is being used alot more and will generate more heat. theres nothing really to do to fix that besides to reduce the load on the core by turning the graphics down in your game.

 

also the screen brightness should not have any effect on the computer besides just draining the battery more.

This. The fan that blows when the computer is on? It's the exhaust so the computer can stay cool.

You just reminded me that I need to pick up some compressed air cans. Thanks. Hope cleaning your computer works out for you. I have a cat and a dog so I have to clean out our computers all the time. It's a pain.

I just bought this computer like three months ago. ALso, its wireless is totally random. Sometimes it's working fine but othertimes, just fails. I use my computer like 8 hours a day minimum.

can you please expand on the wireless problem, also like fred said some specs on it would be nice.
