I was watching the subtitled version of the trailer, when something caught my interest. Sora is shown on what looks like a closed in shore, and he is talking about how this world is a dream that you can't wake up from, and if you don't, you can never return to your own world. Maybe... Could it be... that Sora is trapped in the Dream Realm, and that's how he "falls?" (Of course, he couldn't be trapped there forever. He is the main hero, after all.)

 

There are also other moments in the trailer that make me think of the "Sora that Falls" idea. Him talking to all those Xeha-villians, for one thing. And then there's Vanitas...

Im not sure I quite understand what you mean. I mean, isn't that just what yen sid said? The beach looked similar to other pinoccio scenes so i just figured he was there. as for confronting the villains, it would be the same for Riku.

I'm saying that it took a special interst in Sora when it was showing those scenes. I'm pretty sure that the other Riku Riku saw was the Data-Riku, and he's not a villian.

Im not so sure. Not trying to shoot you down either, im merely conversing with you, i feel perhaps the reason sora was shown more was simply because he's more important to the story. as for riku meeting himself, it seems more likely to me that the world would make him confront himself when he was shrouded in darkness, or perhaps a redeemed repliku. only time will tell though, you may be right.

I think that when villain is defeated he or she fells to asleep and is trapped to realm of sleep. I think ven isnt, since he chosed to rest in soras heart.

Remember the BBSFM secret ending and people thought that it took place two years after KH2 because of the mistake in the subtitle and also that Eraqus' heart is inside of Terra's body because of the mistake in the BBS secret ending.

For Riku, I can see where you got Data-Riku from, since he's wearing the cloak, however, it could as easily be a replica or a dream Riku. I'm beginning to get a theory about those in the dream world, but I can't make all the pieces fit.

Of course weve only seen Vanitas so that doesnt help the theory. But seeing all the parts of Xehanort (minus terra which has been bugging me) makes me wonder. Also, we have to remember that its possible only half of it takes place in the dream world. Seeing the organization members along with mickey and malificent, its more likely that is the realm of light. ugh, too many thoughts and not enough organization or spelling lol

It's shown in Disney Castle that Donald, Goofy and Mickey all have relatives that look exactly like them. The only problem with that theory is Jiminy Cricket. But I still believe that the Dream and King Mickey are in fact completely different people.

Im not so sure they are different people. Definitely different times. He says (well supposedly) that he knows the keyblade. I personally think that maybe, this time period is When Mickey is looking for his bride haha Donald and Goofy did say before that pete was causing trouble for "ages" maybe it was literal.
