After the overwhelming popularity of the idea, I'm starting this rp. Remember, this takes place in the modern time. So people won't be very happy if you draw your weapon in public. Be careful. Also, this was an important question, and I'll answer. You can talk to your Inhabiter whenever you want. And I have to have Sephiroth as my enemy. Sorry, Azure Flame xD

Joy sat in the cafe, drinking his coffee slowly. He couldn't believe all of it was real. Final Fantasy, everything. And why Cloud chose him was boyone his understanding. After all, in the games, he was the cool dude. Still, having the Buster Sword was pretty cool. He finished his coffee and walked out slowly. He put his hands in his pockets and tried to imitate Cloud's expression, but he burst out laughing, causing to people around him to look at him. Oh, if only they knew.

Sara had actually felt like they were getting close to winning. Until she saw out of the corner of her eye, August fall to the ground. Sara faltered slightly wanting to help him but Balthier made her focus again. We can't stop it now. If we do, I won't be able to summon it again and we'll all die. August and Vaan will be fine...they'll just be unconscious for a while. Something in Balthier's voice made her hesitate, he didn't sound so certain. Sara thought quickly, If I can create a big enough distraction...maybe just maybe, I can get August and Chuck out of here. She told Balthier her plan. It's risky...but maybe it could work. But are you willing to die if it doesn't go as planned? Balthier asked her. She shook her head, I don't plan on dying because it will work. Sara could sense that if she could see him, Balthier was smiling. That's why I chose you. Are you ready? Sara smiled slightly and replied, Ready then I'll ever be.

Marcus was now standing in the rubble that used to be the house. "Well that sure wasn't in your little gameplan was it? That jerk nearly got us killed!" Marcus thought. "Marcus, I know you're mad, but don't forget that I got us out of there!" ,Vincent thought back. Marcus scoffed, Vincent was right. If they hadn't done that insane turn into a whirling ghost like cape thing by using the curtains...they definatly wouldn't have made it out alive. "Marcus, what do you think about hunting Cloud down and getting some answers?" Vincent thought. "No. First off, I'm going to get some new 'Battle-Worthy' clothes, and then we're going to find Sephiroth. I've never been so close to being with a group of people before, and he took it away from me! I've never had friends Vincent! Never! I was soo damn close!!!" Marcuss thought. Vincent remained silent. He knew Marcus was in a voulnerable state, and so he just agreed. A limo came and picked Marcus up, and he was back at the govenor's mansion in minutes. He quickly went threw his clothes searching for something....

(Enough with the controlling of other characters guys, you can't just say you knock someone down, you have to give them a chance to block or avoid the attack, and you can't say someone you don't control is charging at you unless they posted it first. If this keeps up then I'm afraid I'm going to have to leave this RP. I just can't stand when people control others characters without their permission.)

Chuck had just enough time to put up his gunblade and brace himself before the explosion pushed him back. He was able to stay on his feet thanks to bracing himself beforehand. He raised his gunblade in the air and it began glowing. "Renzokuken!" he shouted, rushing at Scardigne and slashing at him several times before jumping black. "Rough Divide!" he said, dashing at him and slashing upwards.

OOC: Okay, the blast thing was one time, I'll try not to do it again, I have no control over anyone else, however.

(@Always, that's fine with me.)

Joy heard Mariah, and he felt a stirring inside him. Let me take over for this. Yet again, he heard CLoud's voice. Joy really didn't trust Cloud anymore, but he sighed, and let Cloud take over. Cloud looked at Tifa, making a sad face that was usual for Joy, but not usual for Cloud. Joy smiled in his mind, thinking that they might resolve their issues. "Yes, Tifa? What is wrong?" Cloud asked. It was strange. It was Cloud's voice, not Joy's.

“Cloud, I...” Tifa stuttered and looked at the ground. “Um, I guess what I’m trying to say is....well, am I a burden to you? I know your war against Sephiroth is really important, and I’ve been wanting to help, but...sometimes I feel like you don’t want me around, like I’m only making everything more complicated for you...”

Tifa, Mariah said. Tell him.

She looked him in the eye. “Okay. What I’m really trying to say is that I...I love you, Cloud!” Tears began to brim over, and she looked away again, ashamed. “But if you don’t feel the same way for me, if I’m only getting in your way, just tell me, and I’ll leave you alone.”

Mariah could sense some anger in Tifa. Let that out, too. Just lay it all out.

Tifa took a deep breath. “And, truthfully, I’m tired of feeling unwanted and unappreciated. You shut me out when I try to help you! And if you keep doing that, then eventually I’ll stop trying altogether. All this time I’ve wanted the best for you, Cloud, but I’ll have to start thinking of what’s best for me sometime.” The tears were gone now, and she was looking at him again.

“So, which is it? I don’t care whether you love me as more than a friend or not, I just need to know if you want me to stay and help you, or if you want me to leave you alone.”

The thought of leaving Joy was almost unbearable for Mariah, but the whole reason they had met in the first place was because of Cloud and Tifa. It was probably best to let their wishes come first in this situation, at least until the war was over. Maybe she and Joy would see each other again, under normal circumstances, with no world to save. Or maybe...maybe Cloud did want Tifa around. Well, all Mariah could do now was wait for what Cloud had to say.

Cloud looked down. He was ashamed, but decided not to show it. "Look, Tifa, would I have let you hang around with me if I did not like you in some way? I would have gone after Sephiroth alone, right? Joy didn't want Mariah to come with him to the burning house where James was because he didn't want Mariah to get hurt. But, Joy just met Mariah. If we weren't in them, he wouldn't care about her, would he? His feelings to protect Mariah obviously come from my feelings to protect you." Cloud felt better, laying all his feelings out. "And you're a strong woman. I'm not going to choose if you want to come with me. It won't do anything, and I'm sick of doing things alone. It's your choice, not mine."

Mariah was stunned by what Cloud said. Of course, she thought. He’s right. My feelings for Joy are probably just coming from Tifa’s feelings for Cloud. She felt silly. If it weren’t for Tifa, would she really have had that affection for Joy?

Tifa smiled. “Alright, then.” She put her hand on his shoulder. “I’ll stay by your side. We can win this war together.” She thought of the two of them confronting Sephiroth.

Then a memory came back to her. Just before she and Mariah had been knocked out in the wake of the meteor disaster, she had seen what looked like a figure flying away from the house prior to the impact.

“Hey, Joy told Mariah that James wasn’t dead. He and Sephiroth got away, didn’t they? I remember seeing someone fly away from the site. Do you think that was him?”

Cloud sighed. "I don't know. If you remember, in my anger and thirst for revenge, and took over Joy's body. Anyways, he took over his body again, and it was very hazy after that. I don't remember much. But you remember how Sephiroth wouldn't die so easily. I have a feeling he's still alive." That's right. Joy spoke in his mind. But sadly, I don't know where he went. You know what sucks, Cloud? James seemed like an OK person when I first met him, with Mariah. And this is for you only, Cloud. How do you know I don't have feelings for Mariah? I don't, Cloud responded back.

Paul and Victoria had gotten out from the group and was now in the hotel room. "So, we are going to have to be at the concert hall in 7 hours for the next concert. I just hope they find that person they were looking for." Victoria said as she laid in the bed and Paul was in the bed across from her. They both went to sleep and prepared for tomorrow.

“Hmm...well, wherever he is, we’ll have to track him down. He never rests until he gets what he wants, and I’m afraid that what he wants with this world isn’t good,” Tifa mused.

Then she laughed. “I guess it’s a good thing Joy has you inside of him. Since there’s the two of you working together, his body has been able to heal much more quickly. Like by the time we all reached the hospital, Mariah’s head was fine completely fine, no trace of a concussion. Otherwise we all might’ve been here for a few days. So, do you think Joy’s almost ready to fight again?”

Another thing came back to Tifa. “Oh, and Vincent! I ran into him! The last time Mariah saw him, he was running toward James’s house. We need find him, too, as soon as Joy is able.”

Ackira stared up at the ceiling, and sighed.

"Today was more than i could handle. Too much going on, all these inhabitors? Its just to much to take in. Especially when your talking my ears off Fang. I cant even think when your talking too much." Ackira admitted as she sat up.

Well i wouldnt be saying anything if you would just listen the first time your told. It makes me mad when you ignore the orders i give you. Im going easy on you now, but later on i may not even help you. Fang responded in a cocky tone.

Ackira sighed and realised she had been laying off Fang, she exhaled loudly and stood up.

"Sorry." Ackira said as there was no reply from Fang. Ackira slipped on her sweater and headed for the exit of the appartment complex.

Nathan walked on the sidewalk, hands in his pockets, and hood over his spikey hair. He needed to get out of his house to think about his situation a little more. He had recently found out he had an Inhabitor, Noctis Caelum. He should have known from the begininng they seem kind of alike from day one. Same spiked grayish/silver hair, and the same weapon.

I should have known...

Cloud nodded. "Joy's body seems to be healing faster. He may be ready." He then turned his attention back to the Buster Sword. "But, the question is, what is this? The Buster Sword was destroyed at the battle with James. I know it. And Vincent, does that mean Zack is here too?" He then turned his attention back to Tifa, and actually smiled. "I think it is time we get back to the hotel room. The doctors will realize Joy is gone if I don't hurry." He then gave Joy's back to him.

“Right,” Tifa replied. She didn’t have time to ask about Zack before Cloud gave Joy’s body back to him, but she was glad to know that at least he had Inhabited someone. Zack would make an especially good teammate for Cloud, and help to make him think a little more positively.

With that, Mariah was back in control of her own body. She saw Joy, who was himself once again, and she flushed, embarrassed. Then she cleared her throat and attempted a smile. “Well, I guess that’s that,” she said, trying to sound casual. “I’m glad they were able to work things out.”

Marcus had found it. The particular item he had been searching for. A floor length black trench coat, this would suffice for his ghost cloak transformations. Vincent was pleased too, but he was also puzzeled. "Your current outfit doesn't match that black trench coat." Vincent thought. Marcus looked down, his tan suit would be a problem, and so he changed his color scheme. Instead of tan, he now wore black, and to put on a finishing touch he added the trench. "Well Vince, we look pretty damn good don't we?" Marcus thought. "Sure, but my name is Vincent. Let's just keep it buisness casual ok? I don't mind being your friend, but let's remember this is a job. I also strongly suggest you find a way to gather our allies to us. Ok?" Vincent thought. Marcus nodded. "I'd been thinking about that. I agree, and we couldn't take on Sephiroth like this. So, I've formulated a plan. Since my dad is the govenor, I can have him check out that house incident carefully, and then once we find them he can bring them to me. Then we'll have our heroes. Sound good?" Marcus asked. Vincent agreed, and their plan was enabled. He went into his father's room, and within minutes the investigation began.

Just then, a ball of fire shot into the room, followed by James. He drew the Masamune and said "Give us Mother, we know you have her. If you don't, I will kill you all."

Joy nodded, then picked up the Buster Sword. As soon as he did, he felt a surge of hate. Everything went blurry, and as soon as it came back, he felt different emotions then usual. He leaned against the wall, and started breating heavily. "Uh, Mariah, I need time to think." Without waiting for an answer he stumbled down the hall, towards his room. He threw open the door, and leaned over the bed, breathing hard. And then it stopped. He felt better than ever. He shrugged, and tried to put the Buster Sword down. But his body wouldn't accept letting him put it down. And then he felt the hate again. All that ran through his mind was Kill!

Marcus reached into the gun in his cloak. "No need for introductions. Good man, jumping straight for what you need. Father leave..." ,Marcus said calmly. His dad got up and ran. "Vincent, it's time. You take it from here," Marcus thought. Instantly Marcus felt completly out of it, and Vincent had full control. "You know, usually Cloud has the honor of fighting you. But I'm glad I haven't found him yet, and that's because I have always wanted a turn to take you on..Sephiroth" ,Vincent said calmly. Marcus's eyes were red, and even his voice wasn't his. On the inside he saw himself playing it out. "Ok, Vincent. We need to get the first strike in, or else we're screwed buddy!" ,Marcus thought. Vincent nodded and immediatly pointed the gun at James and fired three times.

Mariah felt concerned for Joy, but right when she was about to follow him and offer to help him to his room, she heard some cries of shock from people in the waiting room. She walked briskly toward the source of the noise, and found several people watching the wall-mounted television with wide eyes. She looked over at the screen and saw that the news was on--it was a live report.

The reporter appeared to be just as shocked as the people who were watching the screen. She also looked scared.

“What’s going on?” Mariah asked a woman who had already been watching the report when she arrived.

“I’m not exactly sure,” the woman said. “The reporter was in front of the governor’s mansion, talking about reelections, and then there was a noise behind her. She said someone had just attacked the governor’s mansion!”

“What!?”

Thanks to modern technology and lightning-fast communication, a cell phone video submitted by a witness was then displayed on the screen, showing a young man flying through the air and shooting a fireball at one of the windows.

That’s got to be James! Mariah thought to Tifa.

“Yes. Sephiroth’s trying to find his ‘Mother,’” Tifa said, horrified.

Before Mariah could ask what she meant, Tifa asked, “Mariah, you still have my gloves, right?”

She checked her back pocket. Yup. Does this mean...?

“Yes, you’ll probably have to fight soon. I know it makes you nervous, but remember that I chose you for a reason,” Tifa said reassuringly.

Mariah looked at the TV again, which was showing the cell phone footage once more--the image of James flying through the air. It was saddening to see. Just a little while ago, when she had first met James, his face was kind. He hadn’t seemed evil at all. But now Sephiroth had gotten to him and completely changed him. So we’ll...have to kill him?

“I really wish we didn’t have to. But I don’t see any other way to defeat Sephiroth.” Her voice was sad. “We have to get to the governor’s mansion now. Cloud will come when he’s ready.”

Mariah nodded, ran outside and flagged down a taxi.

Joy looked up at the TV in his room, and there was James. He growled. So, he could finally get his revenge and kill James. He gripped his sword tightly, and broke the window in his room. He jumped out, and even though he was on the fourth floor, it didn't hurt him at all. He landed in front of the lobby, cracking the ground and causing a rumble. He then ran straight towards the mansion, his heart beating. Kill, kill, kill was all that he wanted to do. Kill Sephiroth in the most brutal way.

James slashed at the bullets, cutting them in half. "So, you're the Inhabitor with Vincent, eh?" he said, slashing and sending a blue energy blade at him. He smirked and said "There's no way I'm going to lose here. After I kill you, I'm getting Jenova. Then she will tell us what to do next."

When she arrived at the scene, Mariah put her gloves on. Tifa took her body over at that moment, which Mariah didn’t mind. They seemed to make a good team so far, and she trusted Tifa to do the right thing at the right moment. Tifa ran with incredible speed towards the mansion. She ran straight up the side of the building and propelled herself into the broken window where James had entered.

(Hope you guys don't mind me getting a bit over-powered in this fight, I might have to if I'm going to take on the three of you at once. And also, Sephiroth is pretty much that good anyways.)

(No problem! Agreed, Sephiroth is pretty much that good! ^^)

(Yeah, it's fine. But Joy won't be hard to defeat, once again. He's blinded by anger.)

Joy arrived at the mansion, not even being careful. He just simply kicked down the door, and ran inside. He looked at his Buster Sword, and noticed that it had a darker aura around it. He shrugged it off, and walked up the stairs to the room. Inside he saw a man with a gun, and...James. He drew his Buster Sword, and snarled. "Hmph. What are you up to now, James? Terrorizing people again. Yeah, I'm gonna kill you!"
