So if you have finished the game FFXIII-2 by now then you should know the end said "To Be Continued" and this has begun an up roar of a FFXIII-3 being released, this may not be the case, in a recent interview with director Motomu Toriyama he said that that mainly pointed to the alternate endings (paradox endings) but even more so about the up coming DLC as they are currently focusing on one big DLC focused on Lightning will be released hopefully relieving what happened after the battle between her a Caius but also DLCs focused on Snow and Sazh are being planned including new costumes (ughhh) and new Colosseum battles (Yay! ).

Now here is the thing, Square shouldn't do that, if its important to the game, put it in the game, not in a DLC, of course some weapons, costumes, side episodes and one on one battles are okay but not pieces of the main story line of course i can see why they did it, just so people will end up coming back to the game but this may be the reason why the game is quite short, there are chunks missing and DLC are coming to fill in the puzzle....

BUT! there is nothing so far about the issue with Serah as far as anyone knows about so FFXIII-3 could still be an idea floating or could be actually being developed into an add on right now. I JUST HOPE ITS FREE!

lol sorry just finished my article off, i was still editing it i havent heard about that, but maybe they did that so no random person buys it and creates a phony website for the game like people did with Halo 4's demo

Yeah, it's a trademark thing. Just a precaution. Like Pokemon Brown, Grey, Purple, Scarlet, and Crimson.

 

I thought I saw an interview where they said that the DLC would continue the story... Don't quote me on this, but I'll look for it.

you know its true. hate to be that game, but i just didnt like ffxiii when compared to the others. it was pretty (VERY PRETTY) but the story was weird, not bad i guess, but just weird, and the the entire game was just.....................off. being a big final fantasy nerd, it was just off in my opinion.

 

ill probably pick this game eventually, but i agree they should make it dlc, not an enitre new game. give us final fantasy versus, and even ff xv. firetruck this shit.

tutti frutti. Though I'm still at debate on getting the game myself, I think that it's crazy to finish a game and then say that the rest of the game if for DLC. You have to think about those that don't have access to the internet at home. How are they going to download the remaing parts of XIII-2 without internet connections? I can understand if it was like UMVC3 where there was extra content to the game, such as costumes, stages, etc. something to that is added on, but isn't necessary to see the story from beginning to end. Plus, I really hope what Venterrqua stated about the DLC being free for this game. Paying $60 then a set amount of money just to see what happens is pretty ridiculous.

It has long been said that the DLC will expand on the story, not finish it. Granted, it's still very possible it WILL, Square Enix is known for its ambiguity, but as it stands, I doubt it.

The Lightning DLC most likely deals with the event directly after XIII, showing Lightning in the Unseen World, the Snow DLC is most likely based on the 'The Future is Hope'paradox ending, and the Sazh stuff will definitely explain him... at all, seriously, why does he barely appear in the game!?

 

But here's the thing. Would you rather have a DLC ending, or pay full price for another game to get the ending?

And why is everybody so hung up about endings, anyways? There's a whole game attached to that ending, you know!
