February 12, 201213 yr lol well good to know! I'll try my best to 'carefully slip and fall down' haha
February 12, 201213 yr I went to China for a school trip in 2010 (we left the day BBS came out lol), and we saw heaps of funny misspelled and badly translated signs. There was a sign in the bathroom of a restaurant that had a picture of a guy slipping and said "Watch out for landslide." A fire extinguisher box at the Terracotta Warriors that said "fire exting atsher" And half of the little place cards that were in the hotel buffets had mistranslated food names. Well technically they have translated the words directly, not for the fact that in English we don't name things by their description. Oh btw, the sign says 小心滑倒 (xiao xin hua dao). 小心 means "careful," and 滑倒 means "slippery." So in Mandarin, the sign says, "be careful, slippery."
February 12, 201213 yr China needs Americans who can translate so we don't risk something dangerous because of there badly mislabeled objects.
