I have never had a Facebook account. Never saw the need, never saw the appeal, and personally I still don't find it "necessary." Unfortunately, it seems to be becoming necessary. As a high school senior, I'm starting to get emails from colleges I've been accepted too asking me to join their Facebook pages for exclusive information. My classmates are organizing senior activities (trips, prom, pictures) and making groups with my clubs on Facebook. It seems like I'll be left behind if I don't get one.
Now comes the horrible "how could you be a modern teenager and think like that?" part.
I feel like I'd be socially awkward on Facebook. I'd feel strange sending friend requests and I don't like putting pictures of myself on the internet. I hate revealing personal information, which is a reason I love the anonymousness (not a word) of forums.
Okay, this is 100% serious.

And advice before I make my first account?
