Kairi's Grandmother Story - Thoughts

Posted

tutti frutti. I've been thinking about this for a while now, mostly the part where in the story Kairi's Grandmother mentions how everyone wanted the light for themselves, and darkness was born into people's hearts. I've been thinking that the more characters in the world that would want the power of light in the KH Universe, whether it is for themselves or for others, that the stronger the power of darkness will become. This is mostly from where Mickey mentions that worlds can't rely on one (ex: Light) without the other (ex:Dark). I believe that those that want the light, despite the reason for using light, may actually strengthen the darkness.

Light was found in the hearts of children, right? For every light, there is a shadow... and the closer you get to the light, the greater the shadow becomes. So basically, I agree.

I think she is mentioning the Keyblade War. But yeah, it is interesting how greed, even if it is for more light, can lead you to darkness. But how do you get closer to Darkness without getting closer to Light? What about people who dispose Light? I'm not saying that they're evil, Riku proved that Dark dosen't mean evil. They just think Dark is more powerful and wish to use it instead of light. And does that mean that people who are really powerful with light, are actually twice as powerful as they think they are? That was confusing even for me what I just said.

And if you remember, Master Xehanort (Older version) made a lot of references to the ties between Light and Darkness. Really if you think about it, all things in life, like Light and Darkness, are opposites. Perhaps she is referring to the fact that ever action has a consequence (i.e. lust after the light- you get darkness, fight over light, you get an even greater darkness)

tutti frutti. I agree with you about Riku. Much like with Light, I believe that Darkness is based on how it is used that determines whether a person, and the power itself, is good or evil. I would guess that the reverse would work as well. I've been thinking that Light and Darkness are similar to Transformers; those that use Darkness (ex: Decepticons) have a bigger desire for battle, while those that use Light (ex: Autobots) are more peace goers. This would be more of a reason for those of darkness to be stronger, for and/or from battling. I think that it's possible that those that use Light are stronger than what they really are. We haven't really seen to many characters use Light majorly through the series.

that story was about keyblade war, when warriors of the keyblade started to fight over the precious light within kingdom hearts. Im not sure what happened to other worlds than keyblade graveyard though. maybe they got destroyed too or swallowed by darkness.
